If you want to get to "know them" go to The Rose or whatever. But, as I re-read your post, I'm sure you know these little tricks. I ran the Guantlet of girls on the Cowboy one night in March 06, trying to decide which bar to go into, for some reason I started the flop sweats, tropical climate and all, and stopped at one of the small bars at the end of the Soi. I asked one of the girls if they had bottle water. She spoke Ok english and explained it was cheaper back at the small store at the beginning of the Street. I explained that I prefferred not to run the Guantlet of girls trying to pull me into the various bars. She instantly understood, and I offered that she could keep the change of a hundred Bhat if she would get me a couple bottles of water. Anyway, she came back with the biggest bottles they had, and I hung out there all night outside with her and her friends. When the food carts came around near closing time I bought them all dinner, maybe 400 Bhat to feed 7 or so bar girls. Then I got invited to hang with them after hours. So off I went, me and 3 bargirls, we stopped off at a few after hour places drinking, shooting pool, flirting, kissing, etc. Of corse I paid for everything, no problem. At about 3:30 AM I decide it time to head back to hotel, I tell the girls and then find out I have to decide which one I am going to take with me. Turns out I had my choice. Fantastic. That bar was my starting point every night for the rest of my Holiday. The girls would welcome me and hug me and go get their favorite drinks, again no problem, it's just money, and if you can't afford the game, find a new one. Anyway, "Follow the White Rabbit", It will be the best part of your holiday, but fill up your wallet first.
