[...] First stop was Baby Dolls because I happened to be standing in front of hit when the downpour started. I think it was about 6 pm so I was getting an early jump on things. Baby Dolls is a small go go with a few poles, lots of lounge seats and a center stage area that had a soft mat on it for the 3 girls to frolic away. This seems to be a trend now with many bars having an area for 3 naked girls to play with each other. I would say that except for the Club Boesche hot tub(more later) most bars don’t pull this off well. I think a definitive show like at Suzie Wongs is a better formula since at Baby Dolls the girls pretended to play with each other, then chatted with each other(I am sure about where to eat later) and then looked around wondering when they might get off the stage. It was all pretty boring really. I think I was more amused with watching the 2 American FOBs drool on themselves while asking the service girl if the girls on the stage really are lesbians. Of course she should have said yes but we all know she does not think that fast and proceeded to explain to the guys that it was a show. The other mini stages had some naked, totally, pole dancers that no matter how hard I tried I could not get their attention. Oh well. The booze was cheap with my Mekhong coke costing me a mere 60 baht. Given the drink prices and the lack of customers my guess is this bar is not making money anytime soon. [...]

[...] Well folks. Looks like I got some serious explaining to do otherwise people will never buy the shirts or think they are walking around with a misspelled shirt. Neither of which would make me very happy. There actually is a lot more thought to the shirts than that so let me try to give it a shot. I do appreciate all the comments and the email. Also - all your comments are correct but the idea for the shirts is to get a reaction of sorts. Here goes it. Bear with me. To give u a sense of how worried I am about all this I am actually at the coffee shop at 7:30 in the morning having done the reverse gauntlet up Soi 4. Hell - having just juggernaut-ed the Soi 6 cutoff before the Lolitas girls are even out should give u a sense of the urgency. I will start with the back of the shirt first since we have gotten comments on both sides - so to speak. I first started coming to Thailand in 2000 and it was 2 trips before I even knew of the naughty nightlife. Yes. My first trips to Thailand were for business and I still have the photo albums full of pics of the temples, the street life and various other things but none of them having anything to do with the nightlife. Amazing Thailand. Honestly I still fell in love with the place and I had not even experienced the women. Even without the women the place was a modern day blade runner of sorts for me and I knew I would be back in some capacity. On my second trip I was ushered into the nightlife by a veteran and boy was I ruined. [...]

Well, I was a FOB a few weeks ago in BKK. Landed at 11:50 pm at the aiprot, was in a taxi at 12:30 am, and by 2:15 am was back in my hotel with a Thai cutie doing the horizontal tango ... of course, I had done my homework on the web and due to everybody's good advice knew what to expect...

Santika is being rebuilt. They have a mini-Santika just around the corner operating at the moment. Its pretty bad, but there is a shuttle from the carpark of the old Santika that leaves about every 5 minutes or so while it is open. The new Santika opens on February 14 according to the signage.

The other theory is they are going to use the cement from the Santika rubble to patch the airport runways. Just a theory!

Yep, the Duke is the Dude. Went to the Mango boys new venture. Was going to play safe by having steak, but was convinced to try the Ham, Mushroom & Chicken pie with mash. Good, shut up, you can't get it this good in the UK any more. The good thing about all the places I eat British food, in BKK, it doesn't feel like you are in an English Pub/Bar in Benidorm. Thank F**K.

Just an update on your burgers. I was concerned that the old chefs were no more, & you had just recruited new ones. Scary, how were the burgers now going to be? Well, for all vistors requiring a western burger fix, the Mango Burgers are still the best. Whilst on food subject, the burgers round the pool at Grand Sukhumvit are good, but the scenery & surroundings are not so! And if there are any Brits who need a Sunday dinner fix in the vicinity of Nana, try Bus Stop. Its a decent sunday dinner, running Monday to Friday.
