Pattaya Night 1

Checked in at the Rising Sun Hotel on Soi 13/1 off of beach road. Not as cheap as some other rooms on the same street but my usual place was full so I stayed at the Rising Sun out of convenience. I like this Soi since it is cheap, walkable to Walking Street, has a Starbucks(wifi) and usually when you cruise home late at night there are a few late night places to hang out if u so desire.

First stop was to get some food and get the buzz started. Blue Parrot on Soi 13/4 was the perfect pit stop. 1 deluxe nacho and 2 margaritas provided the fuel to get the night going.

Off to Superbaby for my first perv and a drink. I have talked about this place before so no need to really re-hash it but the chicks are hot, music is good and lately I always seem to get a free drink from the owner. So I can’t complain.

After Superbaby I cruised further up Soi Diamond to check into Diamond a gogo. I had never been in this one before and was suprised since I have walked by it many times on my way to Casino. I must say that I enjoyed it and will add it to my regular rotation. The music was good - almost superbaby like, there was some cute girls and the shows were cool. The 4 girl all nude lesbian show was just fine by me. I also like one of the outfits for the regular lineup - short skirt (no underwear), open vest on top with nothing underneath. Sexy but not to much so as to ruin the suprise. Diamond is okay by me.

After Diamond I went over to Lucifer for a bit before it got too late. When it is really late the place is just too packed for me to really enjoy myself. However around 10 or so the vibe is good, the music is dj mixed hip-hop and the band is pretty fun as well. I like to pick a spot towards the back bar so I can look out over the dance floor, have some room to dance and the service people are close enough to make getting a drink easy. Note that I am talking about the rear part of Lucifer - not the front section near the street since I think that part of Lucifer is pretty lame.

Out of Lucifer and off to Coyote a gogo. I had heard a lot about this place and wanted to check it out but I must say I was a little let down. The lineup was okay but nothing to write home about and the lighting was just not right. I don’t mind dark or neon lit places but the lighting just made it too hard to actually see around the place and given the stage/seating setup I found myself feeling like I could not really take in the action. The place is big and well designed but they need to tighten it up some more for it to really go is my impression. Talking to my other friends I was also hearing some of the same comments. Coyote is located on Soi Marine but they need to liven it up some I think.

From here I sauntered (buzz cometh) over to Club Boesche on Soi 16 off of walking street. I had not explored over here at all and realized that there are more than a few gogos and beer bars that need checking out. All in good time. Boesche was cool and the place was pretty full so given that you have to hunt this place down since it is not one of the closest bars to walking street then I imagine the word of mouth is good and they are doing a healthy trade. I like the tunes but they were not special, however the line up was good, the corner poles with the almost nude/full nude dancers kept me glued to the stage and the hot tub in the back with the 2 young ladies frolicking away was perfect. I had a flashback to the Man Show, Tv program in the states, that cuts to bikini clad girls bouncing on a trampoline before each commercial break. So I could picture the Boesche Boys chatting up their club design to finalize the hot tub idea - let’s just have a few naked chicks playing with a rubber duckie in the hot tub from time to time. Lucky little duckie. Sounds good to me boys. Boesche is worth a visit indeed.

Go go’d out I headed over to Marine Disco to take in the scene and dance some of my booze away. All good. 1 night down and 1 more to go.

Doing it for the team…
