I recently departed Thailand. I was of course saddened to leave my beloved land of smiles. The people are friendly, the food great, the prices for goods and services reasonable, but most importantly the women are absolutely stunning. I just loved riding the sky train or walking around just about anywhere, everywhere my eyes wondered there was ample amounts of beautiful women. I would fall in love (lust) hundreds of times a day.
I cannot get enough of the Thai beauties, dark, light, medium complexioned, I love them all!. How you can ever get tired of looking at scantily clad beautiful Thai women is beyond me. If that day ever comes for me I will surely commit suicide as there is nothing in this world that I derive such a selfish pleasure from! Few things come close to the emotions that I experience when I walk into the first go-go after being away from Thailand for a year or so. Absolute euphoria, nirvana, I can’t describe it, it’s a grand feeling I’m sure most of us know.
I sit down, always at the stage, order my first San Miguel Light, and take it all in. I love the music, the constant smiles, the waves, the seediness of the whole experience. I live for it, I thrive on it. I’ll be having a great time, and occasionally a complete buzz kill will arrive. A couple of westerners will roll in the a-go-go with their significant others in tow, their white significant others! To me an a-go-go is my sanctuary, someplace that should be holy to men. White: Wives, girlfriends or curious female tourists should not be allowed in them.
To me a white woman in an a-go-go is akin to a piece of coal in a room full of diamonds. Even the “B” team dancers shine more brightly then the white female anomaly in the bar. I live in the states, where fat women abound! Fat American women that have too positive of self body images that is. Fat American women that wear clothes several sizes too small and or short for their obese body sizes. I despise and loath white women. I endure looking at these ugly white trolls for several months on end while I’m in the states. When I can take holiday I board a plane for countless hours to return to the land of smiles, the land where there is infinite beauty. I head to my sanctuary, the a-gogo only to discover that there is an infestation of white women. Now thankfully most do not partake of the shows for an extended period of time, but nevertheless it is still irksome to me to see a white woman in an a go-go and for that matter just about any bar in Thailand. I know I’m not alone in this.
Now, for any feminist reading this, (which I doubt there are any on this site) it’s not a case of “he must not be able to get an American Girl.” I’ve pulled beautiful American women, it’s more of a case of longevity and the whole package. A Thai woman typically looks several years younger then she actually is. A Thai woman will maintain her physique throughout her life, whereas the typical American, and IMHO European woman may have a nice figure during their youth, say up until around the 30’s but then they completely let themselves go and start packing on the pounds.
One must also take into account the difference in mentality between your average Thai woman and the average American woman, and perhaps European women as well? With the whole women’s liberation movement etc women cut loose the shackles of oppression and started working in various sectors of the job market. Women wanted equal pay for equal work, equal treatment etc. Alright, fine. But this also extended in large part to the domestic aspects or traditional roles of women. You are now hard pressed to find a white American woman that can cook, clean, sew etc, the traditional roles of a woman. The women cast these chores off feeling they were chauvinistic and sexist. However most white women still want the man to fix the car, perform home repair, take out the garbage, kill bugs etc. The man is still expected to perform his traditional role, however the women are not upholding their end of the contract.
You will more then likely be able to find a Thai woman that can cook, clean, sew and perform some other craft. A Thai woman accepts and embraces her traditional role as home maker, and they typically do so with passion. Basically a Thai woman is everything an American woman is not. Yes, Thai women have their faults too, but IMHO they are much less severe then those American women have.
I believe the aforementioned attributes are where my loathing for white women stems from. I’m not sure if my European brothers have the same outlook on their women, I would be curious to find out. These are the reasons I hate to see white women in an go go or bar in Thailand. They are a nuisance I’m trying to escape from. A couple of incidents really stick out in my mind during this last trip that only served to increase my hatred for white women.
The first incident occurred on the sky train, two younger, (20’s) European girls boarded the sky train in front of me. They both stood at the vertial support in the center of the train near the entrance/exit door. Both of these women held on to the support with their arms completely extended. Whereas everyone else on the train tried to occupy as little space as possible these two selfish pigs occupied the space of four people. As they entered the car before me they were naturally behind me when it came time to exit the train at my stop. As luck would have it both the pigs and myself ended up exiting at the same station. Now, logic would dictate that you wait for the person in front of you to exit before you try muscling your way out. But these two inconsiderate pigs tried pushing through everyone. They got to me and tried muscling past me. I dropped my shoulder and gave the lead pig a little push back and exited the train.
The second incident occurred at my favorite Patpong watering hole. Now this is not a bar to go to for eye candy. I know the owner and some of the patrons for the last 5 years or so. The music is good and it is just a nice bar to hangout at and get pissed. Well there were some soccer hooligans in there with their white significant others. One of which had a bull dyke haircut and was not attractive by any stretch of the imagination. I guess it could be said at least she wasn’t fat, so she had one thing going for her.
Well her soccer hooligan boyfriend jumps up on stage and starts dancing for a minute, eh, no biggie really, he was pissed and I would be lying if I said I never did the same in this exact same bar. The soccer hooligan exits stage left and in short order his nasty white girlfriend jumps on stage and starts dancing too! I hold very few things sacred, but white women dancing on a stage in a go-go in Thailand goes against what little I do believe in.
I guess I needed to vent, and I’m also curious to see how many other people share my outlook. I’ve been pondering writing this for sometime now but was finally pushed to do so this morning. I went out to eat breakfast and saw a younger, early 20’s white girl in a spaghetti string, skin tight tank top that was about 3 sizes too small for her. The shirt showed about 6″ of her disgustingly fat stomach and back. She had a roll hanging over her shorts and thought this was perfectly acceptable. I thought to myself this wouldn’t be happening in Thailand, and if it did it would inevitably be a female farang.
While not to stereotyping all western women, especially those that live in Australia, I do have to agree with a lot of your points.
The beached wales that wear sizes of clothing way to small for their body weight should be shipped off to “re education camps” though.

You’re right. White women should not be allowed in gogo bars. The worst experience I had was in What’s Up? in Pattaya where everyone was having a great time until this young farang couple sat down.
As anyone who has witnessed the pseudo S&M show there can testify, the girls have a ball as they thrash each other with those foam straps. You can see the pleasure on the participants’ faces. I have taken a few hidings there and can confirm it is utterly painless, despite the horrific noise when the strap hits the body.
Yet this white girl kept on bursting into tears and being comforted by her equally dim boyfriend as though the girls were actually being hurt. “I warned you what it would be like,” he told her.
One would have expected them to leave if they found it so upsetting, but they kept on moving to different areas of the bar and repeating the tears/hugging routine. Pricks.

I will add that it’s not just GoGo’s I don’t want to see these whales in but the Mango as well. Everytime they come in it’s the same. They are fat and they are stuck up snobs. Everytime. They wanted to be treated special but when they find out they are invisible here they get attitude.

Kinda harsh post, but I know where you’re coming from. When I first hit the US after years in Asia, I was shocked, then ashamed, then infuriated at how filthy and obese my people are. I probably produced a few over-the-top rants at that time. A country so rich, yet too lazy to simply be healthy and fit amidst such abundance - it’s inexcusable, and it’s worth loathing.
Thank god I’m heading back to SE Asia next month. A year in the West is too long. There are a few pretty girls in my college town, but imagine what it would be like if half the fat girls lost weight.

The only thing i agree on with this article is that it is strange to see couples and white girls in a Gogo bar. For me it is more like disturbing because as they are bored they sometimes end up spending more time staring at the punters (me!) than at the stage.
However the whole part about white women being fat and ugly is full of cliche. There are very pretty white women. Look at actresses, models, etc. Walk in the street of London, Paris, Barcelona, Prague, etc. And in my opinion they get older with better physical traits than the thai. That is if they don’t get fat, that’s right. Thai girls are pretty when they’re young, but I still have to see a very pretty 45-50.
In addition, give the same social and financial conditions to a thai girl and she will end up acting the same as a white woman (be it about work, about feminism or about ironing skills).
Yes Thai girls are pretty and I like to be here, but this doesn’t mean I don’t look at white women, be it in the street or on TV.

I do agree with some of the physical descriptions of white women and more alarming than that, is their attitude. That they belive, ‘no matter how bad i look there is always someone out there that will give me a fuck’. I have had numerous drunken slobs wonder up to me and give me the dreaded lets go. My reply is that ‘i would ruther fuck my fist’. Speaking on behalf of most guys out there- if the desparate guys stop fucking these pieces of lard, well mabe they might realise that something is wrong and do something to improve themselves. A good example of this is when i was in a bar in an Asian city and this expat chick walked up to me an said that she hasn’t had a fuck in 6 months, the white guys just won’t touch me. That’s not what I said, SSB. My observation was that far too many people in this world automatically associate neanderthal attitudes like this guy’s with the kind of white males who either live in Thailand or visit it a lot. If you tell a couple over dinner in New York that you live in Hong Kong or Japan, they’re not going to spontaneously conclude you see the world with the kind of ignorance this guy brings to it. If you tell them you live in Thailand, they will.
It’s not a matter of who weighs what, man. It’s a matter of not making stupid generalizations about half the world’s population, perhaps to minimize one’s own personal inadequacies.

In my six years here this time, I don’t think that I have seen more than 5 white women that looked like what I thought was dressed properly for the occasion, who’s hair was clean or that could hold a candle to 99% of the Thai ladies you see around town. One of the five happened to be a Russian hooker. The one thing that never ceases to amaze me is, the guy that’s with her, hangs on to her like someone is going to hit on her or run off with her, hell the other night in a restaurant/bar some guy was fawning all over this grossly overweight, dumpy unkept girl, why would a guy do that, I don’t understand! For me, I do my damndest to avoid all white women, no conversations, no smiles, no eye contact, I just look straight through them. Most of the time there is a perfect little 41 kilo honey to look it right behind them.
I do think that the skin quality of a Thai woman is far superior to any caucasians, maybe those 5 showers a day might have something to do with it.

The objections I’m reading and writing are to the nasty, rude and crude characterization of every white woman on the planet in this article. There are times when generalizations are a necessary part of explaining an idea, especially in a forum as limited as a blog, but those generalizations have to be reasonable, and in my opinion, shouldn’t be unnecessarily spiteful or hateful. The characterizations in this piece are of the worst kind.

I think what’s going on here is he is disgusted more with the attitude of western women. The fact that they many of them are fat is getting lumped in and attacked as well which isn’t right as many are pointing out.
For me it’s about the attitude that these women have, like on the train. Now that I think of it there was one hot farang woman that came into the bar and I loathed her as much as the chunky one’s. Although, I tend to loath the chunky one’s more because they seem to be even more bitter because they are chunky which comes with more attitude. These are not generalizations. I’ve met over a dozen in the Mango easily and it has always been the same.
I think this is what Quags is getting at here more than anything else. The weight thing just got focused on too much and not in the right way. It is a rant and does have crass generalizations as Combover points out but seems Quags is just fed up with the attitude. I am too and thankfully I don’t have to put up with it as much as if I was living in the US.

I saw a bloke try and climb on the the stage to be “oh so orginal” but he was so old ,out of it he slipped even though he was pulling himself up with the help of the girls arse and anything else he could grab,and cut his shin open blood everywhere all over the white tiled floor. was not so funny then,was for me it was made my night ,as you say should be shot closely followed by the “ping pong ball chucker” with that smug face they have like when feeding the fish..

People of all stripes can be offensive at times, but it really does show a character deficit to generalize. I have to agree with WW on this one.
Ranting about the shortcomings of others doesn’t make anything better. It’s a temporary release of frustration, but you’ll feel like an ass when the anger subsides.
Bottom line is that if you really are secure in who you are and what you do, you shouldn’t give a toss about others who make asses out of themselves. That’s their problem. Why do you feel it’s yours? I mean, if you really are of the opinion that all Western women are undesirable, shouldn’t the acts you describe serve as affirmation rather than irritation?

As far has women traditional roles are concerned, I am an adult, I can cook and even clean up after myself if its means doubling the household income. But it would depend on you want from a girlfriend or wife.However when I would expect a girlfriend to pick up most of the household chores if I was the breadwinner, and paid most of the bills. Never been a problem for me though.

There was a bit of bashing in that post, not my style but i guess we cant all be the same.
It also describes the type of foreign women that go to Thailand. Its usually the more aggresive masculine type of women that are not afraid to venture where most women would not (ie Paris, Milan, Rome)… and the ones that go to the GoGo’s are prob the worst.
I can tell you where i live there are a lot of hot young white, black, asian, latina women. I live by a Uni so i guess my numbers are out of wack but i think it has to do with age as well. The young ladies that i encounter are fun, full of ideas and not yet jaded for the most part.
Older woman who i deal with on a day to day basis are more jaded and even here in the states dont like and older guy hanging with a younger woman.

This reads like something you would hear from Dean Barrett. He is always ranting about the evil farang woman. Makes me wonder what happened to turn him so against white chicks.
Why the hate? All white women aren’t fat, ball-breakers. Thai girls are great but so are flips, Koreans, Europeans, Americans, South Americans, etc. You don’t have to tear down other nationalities to build up your predilection for Thai women.

Anyway, 2 farang white chicks were sharing a booth one row back from the stage and it was apparent to me that they were a couple. They were there enjoying the sexy Thai girls as much as I was, just maybe from a different perspective.

I think a lot of the bitterness from Dean Barrett and the shite from Dave the Rave about white woman comes from the fact that the only woman in the western world that would give them the time of day, are equally fat, old and ugly housewives of a similar age.

Pants Elk - Those feelings may be strong within yourself, but, to be sure, they are not in others. I’m not saying that the feelings you have are invalid, because they surely exist and are not meant to be marginalized. What I’m saying is that intense negative feelings toward others are not feelings one should accept or promote as acceptable–no matter the circumstances. It may feel natural to act on these impulses, but the only way to dilute the poison that infects one is to find it’s real source, don’t feed it with rancor. And, more importantly, don’t start a campaign against something that is truly ones personal problem.
I worked with a guy out here who took everything that pissed him off about Thailand and turned it into a public campaign. Day in and day out, the drum beat . . . That’s what I see here. Except, instead of Thailand, it’s Western Women. A campaign to convince us that we should support the anxiety of others.
Hatred, loathing, revulsion, whatever you want to call it, has nothing to do with those to whom it’s directed. And, being on the receiving end as a farang male in Thailand, I think a lot of us understand what it’s like and should know better than to re-direct it at others. I think it’s a lot better to remind yourself why you love living in Thailand and go forward with that. We’re all very lucky men.

The problem starts with white men in general. How did you ever let your women become so un-controllable.
I’m Chinese, but educated in the US, and couldn’t believe how little respect women had for men. To be a woman in Asia, means you learn how to take care of a man. The relationship between husband and wife, can only be strong if the wife supports the husband in what he needs to do to make a living and support the rest of the family. This consists of cooking, and cleaning, and providing a positive environment for the husband to rest afer a long day of hunting/working
I know that in war times, the women had to pick up the slack, and do much of the work meant for men, but since when did this allow women to forget their roles and their duties as a wife.
IMHO it’s not the fat white female pigs that are the problem, it’s the gutless white man that allowed the women to become un-controllable, and it’s the white man that created this problem. So my advice to all you white men, is grow some balls, and stand up to your woman. You’re not slave drivers, but you’re men, and we all deserved to be treated like a King. If not by our wife, then by a young nubile thai girl. If you don’t stand up to them and tell them this, you will never be free, and it will only get worst.

Jame, I am in no way disagreeing with what you say. I’d come from a situation in the west that filled me full of hatred anyway; discovering that Asian women can be feminine and fun to be with just made my brief return even worse. Western women have become so obsessed with *issues* (especially “equality with men”) that the traditional basis of family life - that of my father and mother - has disappeared completely. Men no longer feel they have the role of provider and protector, nor have wives that look after family and home. My last western wife (and “last” is the right word) had my happiness at about number eleven on her top ten, which I think is about right for most western women. Career, diet, friends, shoes, kids … keeping their husband (sorry - partner!) happy really isn’t on the list. And yes, their physical appearance and attitude can seem pretty disgusting after you’ve experienced the Asian alternative (generalising - if we get into statistical specifics we get nowhere with this). So my own personal experience of just how venal and nasty white women can be was compounded by a vision of what is possible out here. I’m in my mid-fifties, pretty impoverished, living on the edge of nowhere, but my Issan wife is from heaven, and my wife is my life. I have Bangkok to thank for that.
I’m not sure I’d want Quagmire as a drinking buddy - San Miguel Lite? - nor would I join him up on stage, but I’d be a hypocrite to say that I have not felt the loathing he describes. I don’t blame him for “character failings” (that’s something for women to get all judgmental over). If the blame is to fall anywhere, let it fall on the women that make him feel this way. My ex always used to upbraid me for not sufficiently controlling the annoyance in my voice (”tone” being so much more important than content for them). Eventually, towards the end, I said “instead of nagging me for being irritated, why don’t you try doing less to irritate me?” It was over by then. Now, she has my house. But I win. Every day. And if I no longer feel the loathing, it’s because I no longer have to.

pe - quagmire is a great drinking buddy. He would log in and defend his post but he is in Iraq and getting on the net is tough. Q is new to the Mango crew but an old bkk hand. A cool guy who was experiencing frustration at the attitude of the western women. I think some of it may have been harsh but the concept stands.
I think u hit the nail on the head.
What is funny is talking to educated Thai girls they also feel the same way about the situation. A girl I am seeing lived in the US for 4 months. She was appalled at how “women” dressed. How fat they were. How even in a service environment no one was very polite and how many people seemed so rushed and unhappy. She was doubting heavily the so-called American way of life.
She also understood upon her return why many non-Thai would want to live in Thailand. The service is generally better, the food is great, women like to be women and she felt there was less confusion about roles. She said she did not mind looking good, making food, cleaning house and taking care of biz in the bedroom but she made it clear that men need to be men and bring home the bacon. I like the clarity myself.
So Quagmire was bashing a but but I think he was on to a feeling that many share but not the generalization so much but the attitudes.

your spot on mate. The white man is despicable for not having the balls to put these women in their place- however, lets keep in mind that its mostly the western white man. I would counter than the eastern-european women have been kept in check for now- not sure how the men over there do it. The eastern european women i find here in Japan are still feminine and many of them beautiful- This unlike the majority of fat western slovenly female slobs who totally lack femininity - makes me absolutely sick.

It seems to me that the bottom 50% of white girls are much, much uglier than the bottom 50% of Thai girls, but that the top 50% of white girls are much, much hotter than most Thai girls can ever dream of being.
I always tell my Thai friends to beware any farang who trashes white girls - this is most often a dead give away about his position in society back home. I tell them to think for a moment about Thai girls who trash Thai guys and what part of society they come from, and reflect on that for a moment. They always understand right away
Fact is, guys who can pull from the upper 50% of white girls don’t find Thai girls particularly attractive. Many are pretty, without question, but certainly no more than elsewhere in the world, and a huge amount of effort at self-presentation goes into this prettiness. My friends who come to visit me from the States invariably love Thailand but never rave about the girls. I even had one friend tell me he could never live here because he simply didn’t find the women attractive. I disagree with him there, but this is not at all a minority view amongst sexually successful white guys.
When I return to Hollywood or Manhattan, I am always struck by how much hotter the chics are than Thailand, but I suppose if I was returning to Kansas or Topeka or, oddly and without any intended disrespect, London, I would find BKK chics divine goddesses.
But where the poster is right that the bottom 50% of white chics don’t NEED to be this hideous - they just let themselves go and abandon any effort at self-culture and self-cultivation and become obese slobs. That’s the price we pay for having an egalitarian democracy, and the pleasant aspect of even ugly Thai girls is the rewards Thais reap from having a rigidly aristocratic sensibility that grooms the entire society from top down. Still, though, I wonder how many would take the bad aspects of Thai aristocracy even if it meant people took pains to look nice. These kinds of social systems have to be swallowed whole or not at all.
Anyways, the white guy who through no fault of his own lacks the endowments - whatever they are - to get the better white girls will always find Thai girls and other Asian women an asbolute Godsend, and who can blame the guy? Funny thing is he is limited to the lower 50% of Thai girls here too, but the lower 50% of Thai girls are divine beings compared to the monsters who populate the same rung amongst white girls, however ugly these Thai girls will look to a white guy who doesn’t have to deal with the equivalent white girls.

I don’t disagree with you about the upper percentile of white women being hotter - take a look at the FHM Top 100, for example. Not many asian chicks in it. The idea of a “top 50%” of western chicks is laughable though - again, this is probably clouded by whatever part of the West one calls home. Play the top 1% of farang chicks against the top 1% of Thai chicks and you might have a point.
For me, in the UK, there’s probably 5-10% of women in my age range (I’m not-quite 30) who I’d look at twice. Over here, it’s closer to 50-60%. No contest.

BBK, yes, there are certainly some perfectly normal and successful people who simply prefer Asian girls - we call it “yellow fever” in the US
Such people with an absolute preference of this kind are rare, but I don’t mean necessarily EVERYONE who prefers Asian girls is somehow deficient. But notice, such people generally don’t HATE white girls and even acknowledge they can be attractive, just their own tastes lie elsewhere. You’re right there. But the OP doesn’t seem of this sort.
Now geogpraphy plays a huge part. “Western girls”, or “White girls” is simply too huge and amorphous a category to really mean anything. I found the proportion of divinely slender nymphets in Croatia, and even Paris, for instance, to be absolutely amazing, yet there are vast swaths of the Unites States where I could go days without opening my eyes for fear of having the image of one of these “women” burned onto my retina for ever. Regarding the UK, I always harbored visions of delicate English beauties, and have even met a few, yet when I was in London last year I was shocked at how, and I I say this apologetically - crass and unlovely many of the women were. This I have yet to understand. I have friends who tell me that the women in Spain and Tel Aviv have to be seen to be believed.
I hear your point about disagreeing with my percentages - but I suppose that really depends on what particular slice of the world of white women you come from, although we probably are divided by differences of taste as well.
The one thing that always struck is that nearly all of the white girls who come to Thailand are so ugly! You get heaps of intensely adorable backpackers chics swarming the hostels of Europe, yet only the most hideous slobs seem to find their way to Thailand! I wonder why that should be?

This thing about general perceptions is key, isn’t it? In any country on any continent in the world you can find beautiful girls, and depending on your personal charm, good looks, health, wallet and age, have sex with a few of them. What seems to be driving this thread is the generally negative impression you get of western women (and I’m really talking about northern european and US whites) after living with/among Asian women. You don’t go back thinking “WOW!! … there’s a small percentage of women here who are really hot!!!” You go back thinking “how the hell did they let themselves get so fat and arrogant? Who the hell do they think they are?” (etc. - variants on this theme). The argument that the men who hate white women are old, fat, and ugly doesn’t really hold up. I know goodlooking, youngish men who have no trouble pulling back in the west who find the sight of “the average western white woman” pretty repugnant. I’m pretty gorgeous myself (think ER-era George Clooney and you’re not far off) and I’ve felt this intense emotion, too. AND FURTHERMORE. It is not the job of the male to be beautiful. That’s women’s work.

I’m too am revolted by obesity in those who form the pool of the fuckable - women for me, though I do understand YP’s penchant for a good KT root, but have to admit that I’m increasingly disturbed by stubble on butt-cheeks. Poor form that.
But I’m not so sure that it’s the aesthetics of women that’s driving the tone and temperament of some contributions to this thread. Seems to me to be confusion in the west over gender roles resulting in a big spew about western witches claiming a right to an assertiveness whose domain is thought properly that of men and, ironically, whose absence in men is sheeted home to the very assertiveness of the women! “Bitches took my Crown, my balls, my dick and my wallet - perhaps a Thai women will kindly give them back?”
Given that Thailand is world renown in the field of Penile Reattachment (Thai chicks severing Thai guy’s dicks), I find it pleasingly symmetrical that many western men come here seeking to have undone the castration visited upon them so cruelly by white western dick nickers. Looked at in an unjustifiably literal way, the western guy might awaken from his metaphorical ’surgery’ only to find that he now has a Thai guy’s dick mistakenly attached haphazardly above his hairy white balls.

@BBB…but surely that’s the problem with FHM top 100 lists - they only really reflect the tastes and prejudices of the readership in the particular country where the edition is based, since the logistics of launching a truly global survey would be a nightmare.
Besides, since most celebrity women in the West are white, the lists are bound to celebrate Western ideals of beauty.
Your second point is much more on the money - the ‘median’ in Thailand is much higher than it is in the UK or the US. The median in the UK for girls is about 6/10 on the looks scale. But your average Thai girl under 30 is usually much closer to an 8/10.
