No one is going to argue that there are heaps of ready, willing and able 18-25 year olds in Bangkok. Trying to find one is like trying to find sand on a beach. Of course, this being the land of smiles everyone knows that Bangkok is full of choices, even poor old middle manager Bob from Cincinnati who sneaks peeks at the TAT website while his wife is out of the room hoping one day, maybe just one day, ABC Inc. will send him on a business trip to Bangkok so he has legitimate excuse to come here knows that. Until that happens it is You Tube searches consisting of “Thai ping pong show” and “Pattaya go go bars” all the while making sure he erases his history just in case his wife checks.
But I digress. This submission is about an often overlooked area of the Thai scene. This is where the Cougar Association of Thailand (CAT for short) enters the picture. Cougars as defined by the urban dictionary as, “an attractive woman in her 30’s or 40’s who is on the hunt once again. She may be found in the usual hunting grounds: nightclubs, bars, beaches, etc. She will not play the usual B.S. games that women in their early twenties participate in. End state, she will be going for the kill, just like you.”
Now a cougar is only a cougar if she’s older than you, so if you’re over 40 then you’re shit out of luck. It just so happens that me and some of my pals are not over 40, heck not even over 30 thus the establishment of CAT. You may ask why? That sounds stupid and childish and you would be 100% correct. But I ask you, why not a new adventure is always fun. Cougars are by no means a new concept but a night of cougar hunting is always fun, yet novices should proceed with caution lest you be caught with your pants down (pun intended).
First let me clear up what I mean by cougar. I am not talking about the over the hill, I’ve popped out 18 kids and can stick a 40 pack of mach 5 blades up my wahoo kind of cougar. That is not cougar hunting that is just plain gross. Or for that matter the old timers hanging around the beer garden. Cougar hunting is finding those hidden treasures at unexpected places who offer you no bullshit, no strings attached, I can screw you six ways to Sunday sex. Yes, you can get that with young girls to but there is something thrilling about an older more experienced woman. This is where your official CAT membership card comes in handy. Flash that thing around any potential cougar and you’re telling her that you’re not messing around. You’ve got your Gap jeans ironed, pink shirt on and your ready for the meanest Cougar hunt ever seen this side of the Nile. On to the anecdotes:
- I was out with one of the founding members of CAT (founder and also a client) at the Tunnel on Lang Suan. I had a strange night in that I got so pissed off of Chivas that I was clinging to the table for dear life so that I would not fall over. Luckily my friend was not so he could actually walk around the bar and talk to girls. Good on him. At one point during his lap he picked up the distinct scent of a cougar, sure enough there she was splayed out on the couch with her obnoxiously big handbag. He dove right in, the experienced hunter he was and next thing he knew he had bagged a leggy late thirties cougar who owned a shop at Suan Lum night bazaar. They met a few more times and we even stopped by her shop and got some great CAT discounts on her shop merchandise.
- A good friend of mine loved to go to CM2 at the Novotel, I don’t really like the place but would humor him and go once in a while. This particular hunt took place on a Monday night, ladies night at CM2. I was standing at the table looking sullen as I usually do when I am at CM2 and my friend was bopping around the dance floor chatting up every girl in sight. A woman at the table next to me asked why I looked so serious. I told her I didn’t really like the place but came with my friend. She responded by saying she didn’t like it either but her boss made her come. I gave her a quizzical look and she said she worked for the police and would hang around looking for anything dodgy going down, an undercover officer of sorts. (She didn’t come right out and say it but for brevity I have condensed the conversation) I think she could tell I looked skeptical so she handed me her business card. We chatted the rest of the night and I shared a taxi with her and dropped her off at her home where she still lives with her parents. A few days later she rang me up and asked if she could come over. She stayed the night and in the morning she got a call from her boss asking her why she was late. To confirm the story she also showed me a picture of her at the police station with her police buddies. She was an expert between the sheets so I wanted to meet up again. She blew me off. That is when I realized that I was not the hunter, but the hunted.
In my opinion the ultimate would be hunting one of those elegant hi-so cougars who are sick of their cheating Thai husband or recently divorced, have buckets of money and just want to screw. They are harder to find because most won’t hang around the bars or clubs, but they are out there and I need to find them.

Thailand is a good place to do this kind of hunts, one of my “friends” is 37 and she’s great in the sack… only problem is the “no string attached” part, which she probably never heard about ^^’

I’m just going by the definition. I guess in theory if you’re 50 then you could go up to 60 but that just doesn’t make sense in Bangkok when you can stuff girls half your age. I think you guys are doing ok.

yeah, cougars are an interesting bunch. i got swept up in one on saturday and barely lived to tell the tale. best to bring your A-game as some of those ladies are like powder kegs just waiting to go off. i don’t know where they were when i was 17… would have gone over much better back then, i think. nowadays i’m getting a bit long in the tooth myself, staring down the barrel of 30 and whatnot. my body can’t really keep taking the abuse i sling at it.

I live 2 blocks from a Uni with supple 18-24 yr old ladies but this is the states and with youth there is too much attitude to match. This applies to both P4P and non P4P - other than living out some teenage wet dreams, I cannot justify going for anyone under 23. Tried a couple of times and it was between disastrous and below average (behavior, bedroom performance, all around maturity, etc; the worst was when a close young friend started watching a Happy Feet DVD after the deed was done!!!). However, the late 20’s - mid 30’s group seems to work wonders for me. It seems that once they hit 30, these girls lose any patience for (their own) games (and lose any inhibitions). Not to mention that in this part of the world most women look much younger anyway.
And yes Hu’u is a very nice place, for both dining and hunting…

Cougars often hang out at the high-end hotel bars. Put on some decent clothes and pop into the Oriental or Peninsula main bars. The Jazz bar at the Oriental is always worth some time if you’re Cougar hunting.

It was once the belief of successive generations that cunnilingus was an idea of their contemporaries. It appears that cougars may well be the latest discovery. Hmm, the only thing I saw at the Oriental when I was there last (for a mango with sticky rice: it is to die for!) was:
a) a sheik with 4 burqa’ed ladies (head to toe)

@AB: obviously my two visits to Oriental’s cafe/bar do not make for deep experience, especially since for the first one I was sort of whisked in through the side door as I was wearing sandals, had a backpack, and was sweating Chao Phraya. The second visit was much better - except for my friend’s companion whose skirt was about five inches long and who had to resort to lots of legs twisting to avoid exposing most everything while seated. So, I will give it some time before I return, this time hopefully properly equipped.
Incidentally, I just met (in a different context) a 40+ Thai lady (cougar?) who just about blew me away. Professional, well traveled, independent, and gorgeous to boot. And taller than me! I’m still trying to adjust my attitude to deal with that - and it is a great experience by the way.
