Firstly, let me tell you my situation. I have a long term girlfriend here in Bangkok. She’s a great girl and comes from a good family, has had a good education, and now has a decent job. I wouldn’t leave her for anyone else and I couldn’t ask for anymore in a partner. We don’t live together as yet, but we do see each other every night and she has a key to my place.
On the other hand, I’m the same as every other guy on this blog. I was firstly attracted to Thailand by these beautiful women and the novelty is yet to wear off. For me to live in Thailand and not endulge in P4P activities every now and then is like giving a kid an open bag of sweets and telling them not to eat any…..it just ain’t gonna happen.
So I guess my current situation dictates to me slightly the way in which I can and cannot P4P. Bringing a girl back to my place is definitely out of the question as, like I previously mentioned, my girl has a key. I also know how Thai’s love to gossip, therefore I would never put my trust in the night security guys at my Condo to keep their silence if I did happen to bring another girl back. So I guess these are the first reasons I needed to find an alternative way to P4P.
The second reason has come to light more recently after a couple of disappointing nights out in BKK’s regular P4P areas and it’s more down to getting some customer service, which, lets not forget, should at the forefront of any business involved in the entertainment industry, and better value for money. When I go on a night out I don’t watch the amount I spend, and I have no problems with paying out as long as I feel I’m having a good time and getting some value for my money as opposed to feeling like I’m being totally ripped off.
Let me explain why I felt that my nights out in Cowboy and Nana have been disappointing and why I have become disillusioned with this scene.
I don’t have a problem paying 130/150 Bt for a small beer in these venues at all, sure it’s overpriced, but when you take into consideration the extortionate rents these places have to pay coupled by what’s on view while I’m enjoying my beer, then the price becomes acceptable. What I find increasingly annoying is paying 150Bt for some Issan Farmer’s daughter to come and sit with me for 3 minutes, only to have to get up and dance for the next 15 minutes while her already flat and watered down cola gets too warm to drink. I know what the simple answer is, if you don’t like it, then don’t go there, or don’t buy lady drinks, but as you well know, that’s easier said than done when your packet is getting rubbed, or you’ve just left the Mango after a skinful. In my opinion this problem could be easily solved as I’d be more than happy to pay 200bt for a proper drink for a girl i.e. Baccardi Breezer or even Spy, and for the girl to be able to stay with me for the duration of her drink without having to get up and dance with the chrome pole. Why one of these Bars doesn’t operate in this way is beyond me. Still, it is how it is and it’s up to me to deal with it or approach things differently from now on. I do feel the service in pretty much all the BKK Go-Go’s has took a serious nose dive in recent years, and it never was that great to start with!!
My second issue is the prices being quoted for these, often stuck up and full of attitude girls. It’s getting increasingly like 2K ST and 4K LT with alot of these girls and with no guarantee of a quality bunk up to be had. Add to this the 500/600Bt bar fine and the cost of a room (say another 300 ST or 600 all night) and not forgetting the colas in the bar, and we’re heading towards 3K ST and 5K LT, I add to this my self inflicted drunkenness which has cost me 2K and at the same time put me in a state where my ability to perform to my full potential is unlikely and we’re talking 5K+ or 7K+ for a night out ending in a drunken bunk up.
Now I don’t know about you, but I feel that there’s a better bonk for my baht to be had elsewhere.
And so the search began.
Now I’ve always been a fan of the Soapy Massage, but for some reason or another I hadn’t been for one for quite some time. I think I’ve had 2 or 3 in Phuket at the large Christian Massage parlour there, 1 or 2 in Pattaya, and couple in my time in Chiang Mai, but the last time may well have been as long as 3 years ago.
So, the alternative P4P option had been chosen and the venue for my first mission was to be The Copa Cobana, owned by the Lord group. The Copa Cobana is located on the left side of Ratchada Soi 17. It’s directly behind the massive Poseidon Massage on Ratchada.
I went early in the afternoon, I knew that this may be a bit of a gamble as many of the girls don’t arrive till around 4 or 5pm, so my choice might be limited, but I’d rather that be the case and I be a girl’s ‘first of the day’ as opposed to turning up in the evening and being a girls 3rd or 4th customer that day. (Just me being ‘English’ I guess).
On my entry to the parlour I was greeted by the Papasun, A guy in his mid 50’s I guess and who’s name was Hank (or something similar). He was extremely polite and without being at all pushy he was very informative and helpful and suggested that I have a drink and take my time. A far cry from the treatment I receive from most Mamasans on Sukhumvit!! The girls in the main fishbowl were 2,200 while the girls in the section to the left varied from 2,500 to 4,500.
As predicted, I was too early to see a decent line-up but fortunately enough for me there was one particular girl who caught my eye, (3,500) so I called over the Papasan to inform him of my choice and in a matter of moments we were away.
The set-up and decor inside the parlour is very nice throughout, and the rooms decent and very clean. Probably as good as any that I’ve experienced so far.
As for my girl, well, I must admit she threw me slightly with her full on appoach and I’d say that it was no more than 6 or 8 minutes before she had my bare back cock in her mouth. It seemed to me like she was out to make me bolt as quick as she possibly could but I was up for the challenge and determined to get full value.
In the short period of time that she didn’t have my manhood down her throat I managed to find out from her limited English, her name, (Which I feel is unfair to mention), that she was 23, and from Khon Kaen. She was very beautiful, the body was one to die for, firm as fuck tits, but it was the long, slightly curled hair, and braces on both rows of teeth that done it for me. I don’t know what it is about braces, and I’m sure they do absolutely nothing for most guys but they are a huge turn on for me. I guess it’s that they give out that schoolgirl look, which in turn brings out the pervert in me!!!
Into the bath we went, which was surprisingly hot, and her cocksucking antics continued. There was minimal papering in the bath, which was a bit of pity as I do kind of enjoy that, but I wasn’t really in a position to complain too much.
Then onto the bed and the full on works proceeded. Now I don’t really need to go into the rest with too much detail, but I’ll summarize this experience by saying there was absolutely no massaging involved what so ever. This girl knew exactly what I wanted and delivered it in no uncertain terms. 90 minutes of the full works!! The only way this experience could have possibly been better was if there had been the air bed in the room for the true soapy. The girl was very polite, pleasant and full of smiles and giggles the whole time, again, a far cry from the pole dancing damsals down the road. On leaving the room I had decided that, if asked for, then I would give a 500Bt tip, but there was no request forthcoming.
Now, while I am prepared to admit that I may have been a little lucky with my choice of girl on this occasion, I do believe that your chances of scoring a lame fuck in these places is minimal, as any poor performers would soon be pointed out to the Papasan by the Asian clients that frequent these joints regularly.
This whole experience has convinced me that another trip to the Soapy in the not too distant future is a must. For me it’s all about getting back to the basics of customer service and providing the customer with value for his money, something that is seriously lacking in the Go-Gos but is truly available in the Soapy’s along with the added bonus of discrepancy.
Agreed, discrepancy is often a bonus, as are colemanballs & malapropisms. And you may wish to work on your overuse of the personal pronoun.
But more to the point, where to get the inflatable mattress experience in Bangkok? Have these been consigned to to history & Pattaya?

Bad experiences happen also in Massage parlours, but it’s true that at least it will cost you less for a bad experience than in a gogo.
More important is that you avoid the “i’m not here too f…, just looking for a sugar daddy” kind of girl that you’ll find in the gogo.

Nice piece Catman. I think the GoGo’s though are still nice to have as I’m sure we will all agree, despite the lack of customer service. I still appreciate walking into a place where there are naked or semi-naked girls dancing by shiny poles available for private sessions. I haven’t barfined in a while but I still enjoy the spectacle. Meeting them in the After Hours joints afterward is always an option as well. I still remember the strip clubs in the US so the GoGo’s here are still much appreciated.

Much of what you say resonates with me, and due somewhat to the similar domestic situation.
The best thing about the soapy is that you get to leave alone, and rare is the prospect that you will “bump” into each other in public, especially now that the Siam Hotel coffee shop is no more.
No desire on my part to be the first, but a prerequisite to be the first of the day.
Nataree is great, and the air mattress thing is on offer, but limited to the selection in the fish bowl. The sideliners are a much finer group, and most of them go for 2,600 as opposed to the 2,000 in the fishbowl. At least that is what was quoted to me last week and the experience matched your own - two rounds of 21 year old Chiang Rai cuddles in 90 minutes. Outstanding.
You may not have been getting the full court press, but rather a first round to take the edge off. You are no doubt younger and more handsome than myself, but two rounds is still possible at my advanced age and always merits a tip.

Kinda relieved about other people’s jaundiced view of the Bkk Go Go scene…for a while I thought I was suffering from clinical depression…….I too,for a long time, have been checking out a wide variety of MPs both small establishments and large ones. The decline of the GoGo secene in Nana and Soi Cowboy is sad: it used to be so much fun. Recently, on my way back from Pattaya I stayed in Bangkok for over a week and went out every night to both NP and SC and plenty of beer bars around the area. The smoking ban at Long Gun had unmasked a horrible smell of Piss and Cat’s Spray. I complained to the mama san there about the attitude of the girls. It started when I noticed half a dozen girls gathered around one guy..an arab Ali G An arab dressed like a white guy pretending to be a black guy……..string vest, hat back to front,baggy trousers fallin of his arse, wallet on a along chain, bling and yellow bins……..It pissed me off that they could be so thick but figured to them he was a ‘young hansom mahn’ but when I looked around the bar I realised I was not the only guy being ignored:…not one guy whatever their appearance or age had any female company…………..The girls did their routine on stage…….got off as fast as possibe and dissapeared ASAP into the back and did not show up again till their next time to perform……Not a smile or a second of eye contact……..not even hassled for a lady drink………The mama san said she was aware of the problem but could do nothing. I suggested cutting their salary. The combination of haughty unsmiling girls and the smell of cat cum drove me out in the end…….I trawled Thermaes and was a bit unerved by a white haired waiter with a fu man chu moustache who recognised me from 20 years ago………When the place stayed open till 7am. Late night life was simpler then…….Less powders and sex pills. But as I left to walk back home after the 2am closing, aware that there was little by way of an after hours scene, at least that I knew of, I was stuck by the thought of how much activity there was on the street………..how many people were having fun……Thais eating, laughing, talking, flirting….having sanuk…….And I thought to myself it was pretty healthy compared to the hip hop - Ecstasy fuelled westernised late night bar scene infested with the Ab Fab style Hi So Thais and the farang guys many of whom seem unable to live without a western cultural womb……….I guess we have to take our pleasures where we can. Certainly the Thais I passed partying on the street could barely afford many of the after hours places that have been shut down early. It occured to me they had lost nothing by the demise of the after hours scene but in fact had reclaimed a lot……….That being said…….I wish the Go Go bars were better and stayed open later….

I’d bought one drink and no lady drinks (I only buy lady drinks if I feel the lady deserves it).
Then the mamasan comes over and tells me to either buy a ladydrink, barfine or leave.
I said if you’re going to ask me like that I will leave.
This is a bar I’ve barfined in before (and the girls remember) - this year.
