Let me begin by saying I am not a recreational drug user. I don’t even drink alcohol.
When I was younger, illegal drugs including marijuana were scrupulously avoided. I knew that someday I would likely want a career where a security clearance was necessary and would need to answer truthfully that I never used illegal drugs and be able to pass a polygraph on this question.
Later in life, I was never around drug users socially and never had much curiosity about them. Finding ways to enjoy myself and/or avoid clinical depression and boredom has never been my problem. ☺
Nowadays, I see clearly the dangers and downside of drug use and would never consider touching recreational drugs—the cost/ benefit calculus is not even close to adding up.
As a professional poker player though, I am cognizant that people around me both in and out of the workplace are recreational drug users. I have become adept at recognizing when others are high on drugs and various drug’s effects on behavior because, for a professional poker player, it pays to do so.
Gambling attracts adrenaline junkies so drug users frequent the poker tables and frequently one or more players at the table are high on some recreational drug as well as players under the influence of legitimate prescription medication.
Playing winning poker means observing your opponents and making the appropriate adjustments. Cocaine, meth, crack, steroids, and other types of uppers typically make a person bet, call and raise more with less—the drugs ramp up their system making them crave action. Playing correctly against a recreational drug user requires raising your calling and raising frequency and degrading the value of their raises and calls.
Some would consider it unethical to take advantage of a person’s drug use, but my personal philosophy is to accept the world how it is, not try to live in a world that exists only in some politically correct fantasy utopia.
Besides sometimes drug use makes a person a better poker player—at least for a short period!
I believe people should be free to choose how to live their lives within the constraints fate imposes and be subject to the consequences, good or bad, from the decisions they make.
If a man wants to gamble and take drugs that is his choice to accept the risks and subject himself to the potential costs and benefits of his decision. Who am I to tell another person or judge how they choose to live their lives?
The World has a surplus of self righteous two faced hypocrites and just plain idiots telling others how to lead their lives and touting goofy lifestyles which invariably involves giving them your money. I consider myself fortunate to live in a world and society where we make our own choices rather than having our behavior and morals dictated to us by Big Brother or the fashionable at the moment self righteous self appointed self interested scam artists and idiots—God Bless America. ☺
Until Thailand, I was blind to the effects of uppers on aspects of a person’s behavior not relevant to gambling but recent conversations with a long time Thailand ex-pat opened my eyes and alerted me to the existence and effect of recreational drug use among the TG’s I hang with and encounter in the Thailand Girl Scene.
Most young men dream of having a beautiful sexy low fat bi-sexual girlfriend with the energy level of an energizer bunny, the sex drive of a nymphomaniac, and the inhibition free open minded psyche of Moon Unit and Dweezil Zappa.
The same young men don’t even dream of dreaming of a dozen girls of this ilk at their beck and call, waiting for a phone call or even pestering them daily requesting to come running over to their apartment for marathon banging sessions—where any of the dozen would like nothing less than to be invited to move in as the girlfriend and after gaining this coveted status launch into a mad histrionic frenzy at the prospect of losing it.
Many older men with diminished libido and endurance prefer more relaxed style banging with easier to please girls, but even these older men remember fondly their “younger days” and on any given night might fancy reliving their youth or at least enjoying a valiant prescription drug aided attempt.
In The World, unless you are a rock star, billionaire, professional athlete, or underwear model regularly banging just one of these girls is a pipe dream but in Thailand with a little bit of knowledge, a little bit of gamble, a good sense of adventure, and a little help from a contributor to The Big Mango Blog, having a stable of these girls and living like a rock star is easy to achieve—if you are willing to accept the risks and the potential costs and benefits to your choice. In fact, in Thailand you can live better than a rock star—enjoying all the sexual benefits without the downside costs of being famous.
The question, of course, is how do you find these women? The point of this essay is to point the way.
Yabaa and Ice are the two most common recreational drugs in widespread use in Thailand. They are cheap, widely available, and use is common among girls age 18-25.Yabaa and Ice are the Thai names for Methamphetamine.
Yabaa and Ice’s effects on a person’s sexual drive are summarized as:
Methapamphetamine (commonly known as “crystal meth,” “crystal,” or just “meth”) is a strong stimulant often used recreationally as a party drug. Among the effects reported by methamphetamine users is an increase in the need and urgency for sex, the ability to have sex for extended periods, and an inability to ejaculate or reach orgasm or physical release. Methamphetamine lowers inhibitions and may cause users to behave recklessly.
TG’s who use Yabaa and Ice fit the desired profile—bisexual nymphomaniacs with no sexual inhibitions.
Most farangs new to the Thailand Girl Scene wistfully dream of 3 way banging with a pair of bisexual TG’s.
Many farangs unsuccessfully and inefficiently search for bisexual girls into this type of banging.
Most farangs fail in finding satisfactory 3-way action because they are not alert to the fact that the vast majority of TG’s into this type of action are Yabaa or Ice users and they are unable or do not know to search and select for Yabaa girls among the pool of available TG’s.
It will be useful to introduce some terminology here.
There are actually two distinctly different types of 3-way action—the Y-way and the Tri-way.
The Y-way is when a single dude bangs two heterosexual girls. In the Y-way what usually occurs is the single dude bangs each girl in succession. This is not what most farang are thinking about when they think threesome but it is what they commonly end up with when they bring home 2 TG’s.
The Tri-Way is when a single dude bangs two TG’s where at least one of them is bisexual. In the Tri-way not only does the dude bang both girls, but the girls in one form or another get each other off. This is what most farang envision when they bring home 2 TG’s but what they rarely achieve because they incorrectly select, just can’t locate the right TG’s , or get semi-scammed by two hetero TG’s pretending to be bisexual.
Y-way banging is easy to find. Most Go-Go and beer bar TG’s have a co-worker (usually one struggling to get action because of their age and appearance) who will go home for Y-way action. Y-way action is a good deal for the TG’s and are usually a semi-scam for the farang. Both TG’s get barfined and earn ST/LT money for less work/time spent actually banging. Y-way action is sort of like employing union labor—the work rules force the employer to pay a lot of people for standing around and doing nothing.
A frequent complaint among farangs is to bring two girls home and then find out they are not into or balk at Tri-way banging.
In my experience, the majority of TG’s who are into Tri-Way action or are willing to experiment with it are Yabaa girls. I do not claim that there aren’t non-Yabaa girls into Tri-Ways but in retrospect all of the Tri-way girls I have encountered were probably Yabaa girls.
I discovered this mostly by accident and trial and error.
Before becoming attuned to and adept at recognizing the yabaa girls, I floundered like most farang when trying to talk TG’s into true Tri-Way action. Most of the time, when 2 or more TG’s came home with me it ended up as a Y-way instead of a Tri-way.
Only later after I learned Yabaa revs up a TG’ sexual libido and reduces inhibitions and learned how to recognize Yabaa girls, did it dawn on me that most Tri-Way occurred because of the inadvertent inclusion of at least one Yabaa girl in the mix.
Thinking back on the three way action of the past, the mists cleared, I had a sudden epiphany and the role of Yabaa suddenly became clear—-and my Tri-Way batting average went way way up.
So how do you recognize a Yabaa girl?The easiest way is to go to GoGo where there are dozens of TG’s that you can quickly scope and get some practice. There is not much a TG can hide from a trained observer when she is buck naked on a stage moving and grinding and you are free to observe and study her every move.TG’s who use Yabaa have the following characteristics:
- An unusually high energy level. When a GoGo TG is on stage and seems to be dancing like a maniac for no apparent reason, e.g. no one specific is looking at them or the bar has only a few customers obviously not interested in bar fining she is probably on Yabaa.
- Unusually thin and lean. Most TG’s are thin and lean anyway but Yabaa reduces appetite and makes a person hyper leading to lower body fat.
- The TG has bags under her eyes from frequently staying awake for two or three days.
Once you begin to consciously look for these characteristics, the Yabaa girls will literally jump out at you.
Once you get the hang of it, it is not rocket science figuring out which girls in a Go-Go use Yabaa.
Outside the Go-Go, you can identify the Yabaa users all over Sukhumvit and most girl venues in the Thailand Girl Scene. When you are in the Nana parking lot, Soi 7 Beirgarten, walking down Sukhumvit at 4AM, at Gulliver’s, etc. they are easily recognizable to the trained observer.
When Fresh Produce shopping, you can also see a smattering of Yabaa girls at all the Fresh Produce Venues, e.g. MBK, Fortune Plaza, around Ramkahaeng Univerisity, JJ Plaza, etc.
Now that you are aware of the prevalence of Yabaa use among TG’s and are adept at recognizing the signs ofYabaa use what are your choices?The safe and prudent choice for most inexperienced farang and those with a conservative banging philosophy is simply to avoid the Yabaa girls. Train yourself a little at recognizing Yabaa girls and consciously steer clear of them.
Many older men choose this course of action. They have been around and tried a lot of things and just prefer to shack up with a normal attractive woman for some good old fashioned normal heterosexual one on one banging. They are aware of the other available options but they simply don’t appeal to them.
For the inexperienced Hometown Heroes, simple avoidance may be the prudent choice.
Yabaa girls are not easy to handle—sexually or otherwise. There is no shame in recognizing your limitations and realizing that you will have difficulty handling the typical Yabaa girl—emotionally and sexually and be able to protect yourself physically, financially, and emotionally.
Yabaa girls require special handling and special precautions. By their nature recreational drug users are inherently unstable and for many the cost/benefit calculus of banging Yabaa girls does not add up.
The second choice is to test the waters. Approach some Yabaa girls take them home and see what happens.If you have always dreamed of tri-way action or just want a low fat bisexual nymphomaniac girlfriend, there is nothing wrong with experimenting or taking an extended test drive.
The third choice is to embrace the Yabaa girls.
When you are looking for a particular type of banging search out the TG’s who are most suitable. I’ll leave it to your imagination, but Tri-Way action, is easiest to get with at least one Yabaa girl in the mix.
If you have never had a young low fat low commitment insatiable nymphomaniac with no redeeming social value as a girlfriend and always dreamed of dating one Yabaa girls might by your cup of tea.
There are also a set of modifications that must be made when playing against older men who frequently take 5 or 6 prescription drugs for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, etc. but these are outside the scope and not relevant to this essay.

the use of amphetamines (1,000% increase between 1993 and 2001). Amphetamines, called
yabaa, have overtaken heroin as the prime drug of choice largely due to the surrender of the
Burmese drug lord Khun Sa in 1996 and the subsequent decrease in availability and increase
in the cost of heroin. Amphetamines on the other hand are easy to obtain, relatively cheap and
available throughout the country. Yabaa is generally taken orally or a tablet is crushed, the
foil lit underneath and the vapour inhaled: there are reports of injecting of yabaa but at this
stage this is limited. Heroin is still commonly available in the hills of north Thailand and in

This is probably the best blog I’ve ever seen you write. Very informative and backed up by personal experience. I still remember watching you walk into Thermae one night and after 15 minutes of intense negotiation, watching you walk out with two stunning freelancers for some three-way action.

There is a big difference between ice and yaba, ice is (relatively) pure meth and is NOT cheap while yaba is meth mixed with any other things (caffeine, normal amphetamines, washing powder etc.) and is, consequently, dirt cheap.
I know a girl in Pattaya whose drug habit costs a whopping 3000 bahts a day at least. To be clear, she never uses yaba, only ice and xtc.
I am myself also keen on yaba girls who definitely perform better than other girls in average. And their unpredictiveness is a thrill to me. Not everyone’s stuff though I agree and skinny girls really have to be your cup of tea.
In Cambodia, even ice is dirt cheap and even more working girls than in Thailand are on it (well, no figures here, only an impression I have). There is a wellknown place, open 24/7 in Phnom Penh (everyone who knows the scene will know which place I mean) where at least 80% of the girls not only smoke ice but also are heavy users. My favorite hunting ground.

Entertaining as ever Kenny - Sadly for me, the tears of joy I weep each time I am back in BKK and the intermittent drool that accompanies them (for the first few days at least) prevent me from making the detailed assessments - quite frankly any go-go girl looks ‘wired’ after a few months exposure to her Farang counterpart back in blighty.

Most of the US military has a security clearance and most have taken drugs at one point in their lives. They just chalk it up to a past experience and move on with it as long as your not an addict/heavily in debt or some reason that could jeapordize national security.
As for the post itself, I can’t understand why it’s getting a thumbs up from everyone? Most of you probably wouldn’t consider banging a dirty pock faced crack whore back in whatever country you’re from. What makes it suddenly so enticing now that you’re in Thailand?

Anon, agreed. I avoid drugged TG’s like the pest. Even the “normal” ones I often ask if they took or have drugs to make sure they don’t or at least let them know I am serious about that topic, “zero-tolerance” on my part.
I heard more than one violent story from farang who hooked up with a druggie. BBK did not quote another important part of Wiki concerning the sexual habits of yabaa users:
“Methamphetamine users often engage in unsafe sexual activities, methamphetamine users are six times less likely to use condoms. (in May of 2002 the festering, emaciated yet bloated body of a once good friend was found in the then named Honey Bee Hotel. 6g smack, 3g crack rocks, 11 yaba, 143B, some soiled clothes and mobile phone that wouldn’t stop ringing was all that was there. Only reason he was discovered was because he hadn’t paid his bill and a 30kg glue sniffing teen ho sat outside his room talking to his door for almost 7 hrs before the management decided to intervene…
He didn’t become addicted here - he’d been in out of rehab numerous times back in the world - but at that time dope in all of it’s guises was easy to come by, and for the most part still is.)

I have to smile at all the guys who are so ‘anti’. It’s pretty hard to find a girl who isn’t a user these days. How are they going to avoid it? Certainly, most freelancers have at least tried it. Hooking tends to go together with other illicit behaviour and it’s not always easy to spot on the girl. They don’t all have the ‘classic’ look. Many don’t. You won’t know what to avoid. And they certainly don’t all have “amphetamine psychosis”. I’m guessing that most of the time, guys who say things like this would be surprised how many girls they’ve had have quietly been regular users.
I’ve never tried Ice and am not that interested, given that girls tell me it’s 3000B instead of around 250-300B for Yaba. Yaba does enhance sex in my experience, as long as it’s in small doses. It also makes it more difficult to actually get an erection though (at least in my experience)!
Even though girls don’t have anywhere near the reaction that I do to it, I used to be of the strong opinion that girls on yaba were better. However, last year I had a girl whom I ’stoked up’ but still didn’t perform. And I spent quite a lot of time with a girl who weaned herself off it and she didn’t get much better or worse. I’m still slightly of the opinion that girls on it are better, if only because they’re likely to be more ‘open-minded’.
Last year, I noticed increased police checks and, with the new quasi-Thaksin administration now in, I expect prices to go up and girls to get fatter!

DJ, Werewolf: I was unfortunate enough to be walking over the Nana Skytrain station when that accident happened. I looked down and saw a farang girl lying dead in the middle of the road with the crashed motorbike lying nearby. Another person was lying about 100 yards away further down Sukhumvit Road.
The accident does not appear to have been reported in the English-language press here, but a Thai friend heard on the news that a farang couple had died after the boyfriend lost control of their motorbike after swerving to avoid a pedestrian.

ON: The info your Thai friend gave you was consistent with what I heard. I was also told the pedestrian was also injured, and the motocycle driver wass an Italian national who owns (or operates) an Italian restaurant on Sukhumvit Soi39.
Nothing confirmed, just hearsay on all except the accident itself, which was witnessed by a friend who confirmed both the driver and his passenger died on the scene.

It was the wine/bar manager from Le opera on suk 39. He died along with his gf. Seems it was driver error.
The hard part about all this is due to the Thais and their superstitious beliefs - the Thai clientele have virtually stopped going to the restaurant. So the owner is now dealing with losing his star employee and no business.

Hi everybody,
good post no question, but I have to comment on one thing and that is the price quotation at the end of the post. Just from own experience with a TG I lived together for nearly 2 years, in 2001 the street price for yabaa was about 60-80 baht just a few month later, after Thaksin’s “war on drugs” the price increased to about 350-400 baht and it remains till today maybe a slight decrease to 300 baht but that’s it. So, Thaksin if not involved himself directly made a lot of his cronnies just much richer that way, and I expect about the same will happen with Khun Chalerms “war on drugs”, don’t believe me just watch. I always enjoy the comments to BBK’s posts more than the actual post. He can really get on some peoples nerves. I like that. It seems there’s a competition here of who knows the most about Thailand. It’s fun to read you guys (and gals).

Call me naive but I fail to see how Thai girls need any encouragement for sex (unless you want a freebie of course).
We have had a couple of great 3somes as a couple with Thai go-go girls, one of which we keep in touch with. If we had more time, we could have had a few at once.
IMO there is no shortage of girls once they see “2″ customers in 1 and (don’t slap me) a nice hot blonde to cuddle up to rather than a fat old hairy backed bald headed man ……………
The only thing is that us girls don’t marry them LOL
Having said that, if I knew a girl was on any sort of speed I’d look elsewhere. It can only end in tears.

LOL yeah may be naive about some things but its fun learning the ways of the LOS (so far anyway).
Na my other half is not like that that all, and it certainly makes the picking up easier both at home and on tour.
