In the first parts of this guide we looked at the overall scene for girls in Bangkok, and gave some advice on meeting regular girls during the day and outside of the nightscene. In this section we discuss the P4P (Pay For Pleasure) options in Bangkok (probably no city in the world has more – with estimates of over 250,000 working girls in the city). In other parts we will look at the other night scenes in Bangkok, which may not necessarily be P4P (but also could be!).
This guide only provides basic information on major P4P zones, bars and clubs. There are many sources on the Internet to go to that provide much more detailed information (right down to reviews of the performance of various girls at some of the establishments!) and which also give good advice on what to expect and how to act in places like Bangkok Go-go’s and in massage parlors. The scene changes in these clubs week to week, so getting the latest scoop from websites that are regularly updated with information is a good idea. Some of the best of these sources include:

There are many places to meet Thai girls for P4P. These include the streets of Bangkok in the evening hours, Go-Go bars, beer bars, pool bars, massage parlors, take-out brothels, special clubs and outside the local short-time hotel. Freelancers also operate in many of the regular nightclubs across the city, even at some of the most expensive hotels – but that scene is covered in later parts of this guide.
Streetwalkers:
Although caution is advised with street walking working girls (not only might there be health issues, but girls walking the streets are far more likely to be engaged in criminal scams) there are plenty available every evening in several parts of Bangkok.
Lumpini Park by the railings opposite Suan Lum night market and along Rama IV late in the evening
Sukhumvit Rd. between Soi 3 and 15 all evening but especially after 1am
Sukhumvit Soi 3 around Grace Hotel all night
Chinatown – Yarowat Rd. late in the evening
The road behind the Siam Hotel (which fronts onto New Petchburi Rd just East of the Asoke junction and is next to the Mona Lisa massage parlor). These ladies are popular with local Thais, and can be surprisingly attractive for street workers.
Major Go-Go Areas:
There are three major areas for Go-go bars that target foreign men as customers (there are a few others for local Thais).
Nana Entertainment Plaza – home of the Big Mango bar, situated on Sukhumvit Soi 4 about 50 meters down from Sukhumvit Rd. on the left side. Nana has around 20 go-go’s and as many other bars concentrated in a very small area, is extremely popular with foreign visitors to Bangkok and is very safe. Nana has some of the biggest and best go-go bars in Bangkok. There must be over 50 girls on stage at any time in Rainbow 4 alone. In recent times Nana has been forced to close earlier than other entertainment zones in Bangkok, and the police are more rigorous in this part of the city – meaning the girls can’t get as naked as they do elsewhere, and the shows are a little tamer too.
Soi Cowboy – A small lane between Sukhumvit Soi 21 (Asoke) and Sukhumvit Soi 23. Cowboy has about 20 go-go’s and 10 bars, is very similar to Nana in most respects but the girls show more flesh, the shows are more risqué and the clubs stay open a little later.
Patpong – situated mostly in two Sois running between Silom Rd and Surawong Rd. At night, Patpong I becomes a major street market. Patpong has a global reputation and is still considered by many to be the red light district of Bangkok. That has probably not been true for some time, but the tourists still believe it. There are about 25 go-go’s and many more bars in the Patpong area, which is far less than it was just 10 years ago.
Patpong has a number of problems that make it less appealing to the more savvy foreign visitors and residents in Bangkok. It is crowded with tourists – including groups of matronly Caucasian ladies who venture into the bars to give disapproving scowls at proceedings. Patpong is inundated with touts, full of rip-off scams (especially from taxi drivers getting there or out at night) and there are quite a few issues in the bars themselves. You are advised to check your wallet, your bill and your change in every venue. There is far more pressure from the girls and just about any other staff in the bars to buy drinks, and the girls in Patpong are generally not on the same scale of looks as they are in Nana or Cowboy. You will also have a hard time spotting the lady-boys (katoeys) amongst the dancers – whereas mixing girls and katoeys in the same bar is very rare in Nana or Cowboy. Finally, the clientele somehow seem to me to be just sleazier – as in Pattaya. I really don’t want to know some of the guys I see hanging around the bars in Patpong.
Having said all of that, there remain some diamonds in the rough and a good time can still be had in Patpong if you know where to go and keep your wits about you. Some of the best clubs in Bangkok are in this district, and the place rocks on well into the night after other parts of the city have closed down. One simple piece of advice – never, ever agree to go upstairs in any bar in Patpong to ‘see a show’.

There are four lady-boy (katoeys) bars in Nana: Obsession, Temptations, Cascade and Casanova. It is great fun to take any newcomer to Thailand to Obsession; the katoeys in there are better looking than just about any other girls in the world.

Long Gun (has a show but this bar is suffering from being very popular in the past few years as the girls seem to have attitude problems)
Rawhide has the same owner now as Long Gun and good dancing/shows (the office secretary show is very good) but also has some of the worst looking working girls in Thailand that have a habit of sitting next to you
Suzie Wongs (does not have great looking girls, but easily the best show twice a night in Bangkok right now)
Shebas – same owner as Suzie Wongs

Déjà vu has its moments
Baccara is always busy, and manages to somehow always attract cute new young girls that are new to Bangkok, while the upstairs glass floor, Uni-uniform wearing cuties section is also very popular

A friend involved with organising nights at clubs told me that Tunnel, Soi Luan Soi 5 has shut for good. The owners are fed up with the police and decided they are not going to get any more money. Apparantly they have moved to Astra at RCA and doing the earlier scene.

It has looked closed for days but I am not sure what moving to Astra means. They never had any world class DJ and all the money is in the joint so my guess is they lost some serious money on that venture. Same as Mystique…
Nothing special about the Tunnel that I would go to RCA seeking Tunnel 2. Too me all they had was afterhours and the location going for them. This crew is notorious for not doing well with the police. I guess their streak continues.

I don’t often find myself defending Patpong, but the bill rip-offs do seem to be a thing of the past. Certainly I’ve never had an inaccurate bill there, and the King’s Group bars even have a policy where customers sign or initial every drinks bill to avoid any confusion.
Also, “one simple piece of advice – never, ever agree to go upstairs in any bar in Patpong to ’see a show’” seems to clash with the recommendation of Queen’s Castle II, which is an upstairs show bar!

If you are a half-way decent man, there is never any need to pay for a woman in Thailand or in Asia for that matter.
Actually I have never paid one baht for any Thai woman and usually they have always paid for me. I tell you the easiest way to meet women is to go to places that Farang do not go and to places that you would least expect to meet a beautiful lady.
When you are hanging with all the other sleazy farangs in these parts of course you will never really find anything amazing or any beautiful woman. The best sex is with non-professionals working in common jobs. Just give it a try.
I can have Thai women paying for me everyday and I am just average.

my first question to mmm would be: what do you consider beautiful? and is he lowering his standards. maybe you can give us a link to a random photo of a girl that you think is hot.
i can get women to pay for me if i lower my standards. but i don’t like to do that.
