Well, those of you who took the ‘over’ won the bet. Due to some very strange circumstances that we will surely reveal in good time we will be two days late with our opening.
The ’soft’ opening of the new Big Mango Bar will be Tuesday, June 3rd. More details will follow but wanted to let everyone know the current status. Location is here and current site progress is here if you are so interested. Also, other notable events that have happened on June 3rd in History including Tony Curtis’ birthday can be found here.

Well, since I won’t be here on 3 June, I’ll go on Saturday night sometime, sit in the doorway with a big bottle of Leo from 7-11 and drink to your success. The first person in on Sunday morning should collect the empty Leo bottle laying on the stoop and enshrine it.

SukP: There actually will be a ‘hard’ opening mid-month. We’re going out the door with the kitchen turned off. By mid-month it will be going and then we will have a big bash. Also need to find the balloon inflation machine and I’m not talking about dream at Lolita’s.

Years ago, in a former life, I was involved in Burger king refurbs all over the UK. I understand how difficult it is to complete on a specified day, and I can’t begin to imagine how difficult it must be in Thailand.
I called by yesterday and poked my head through the window, the bar is looking really good.
