A regular reader sent these in. Was a dance contest at The Pent. Nice work. I still say some of the hottest girls in town are at the member clubs. I recognize some Forte girls in these pics.
A couple of random things.
Club Electric Blue on Patpong soi 2 is going to open at 4 pm starting Feb 1. Happy hour is from 4 - 9 everyday with buy one get one free. They close normally at 2 am but on Friday and Saturday stay open until 3 am. It is great to see a go-go bar putting on some specials and opening earlier. CEB is probably the best go-go left in Patpong.
I got a post forthcoming from BBK dissing The Resort. We are an equal opportunity blog though and I publish it but I may have to post the why BBK is wrong post. 
Forte was cranking the other night. On fire. Best I have seen it. The new girl is so hot.
Also - for the record. If someone asks - “Did u have a good night out?”. If your answer is, “We ended up at Lucky Club.” You should know that means you did not have a good night out. Ending up at Lucky Club means u didn’t get lucky.

I am not sure but my guess is because it was a big party they might have just let people snap away. I have taken photos during the parties before at Forte with my phone and no one seems to mind.

Nice. I’ve said before and I’ll say again I am in complete agreement that the best looking girls are at the g-clubs, hands down. I think it’s hard to argue when almost all of the girls are good, whereas at some other places(SC, PP) it may only be handful of the girls working that are good looking.

I saw a few other camera phones in use during the show. No one seemed to mind.
The lighting was irregular so my video isn’t so good. Sound is horrible also.

Also I’ll assume that you close with them lots, and that they let you get real close for a go-o-oo-o-od sniff and that they text you constantly and that you’ve found where to take ‘em shopping and for lunch and all that shit.
And that you’ve, like, seen loads of ‘em wet.

I’m assuming all this stuff ’cause in your post you’ve adopted the tone of a man who’s spent loads of time in the saddle. Enough to feel confident when you tell us that our appreciation of, say, a full-on g-club stable from Forte or Pent over a squad of standard Nana Plaza mud-hens would be because we were shit-faced and perhaps a mite awed by the spectacle of big city life.
So, of course, we’re dumb to pay so much when we don’t have to.

Easy there, big fella. Assumptions are a sign of . . . well, you know. Not sure how you perceived any sort of inference. My statement was clear. The girls in those photos look pretty much like any girl in any place who parades for us, their client, the ogling men. If you want to believe they’re hotter than, say, the girls in Nana or Cowboy, then go for it. Hell, if you want to believe they’re as hot as the hi-so girls who hangout in the Emporium, I’m fairly sure no one will stifle your thoughts (although, I have heard of a new program in beta testing by the NSA . . . ) The whole appeal is based in fantasy, my friend. You’re a smart guy. “The brain is the most powerful erogenous zone.” I shouldn’t have to remind you of the obvious.

One more thing, as I think it may sound like I’m being a bit of a prick (that’s not what she said . . . ) Anyway, I just want to say that it’s a great thing that we have the fantasy so readily available to us. It’s just that I personally don’t like to lose sight of the fact that it IS a fantasy. Thailand really messes with a fella’s head; you gotta stay clear as much as you can, my men.

ato - I can assure I have never seen a katoey in these places. THere are some girls who get too much work on themselves and take on that appearance but I don’t think any of them in these photos is.
james - u sound pretty cynical so maybe it is your head that has been messed with. Not mine. There are hot girls at the member clubs and no not all of them are but many are hotter than a nana or cowboy girl.
I don’t find the hi-so girls all that hot given many can’t dance and they have a lot of attitude. I think the member club girls slot somewhere in between with their looks, their attitude and their ability to party. Anyway. Its all just a big fantasy in my head so don’t worry James. I will stay clear.

As regards photos in Pent… I think that every time I’ve been there I’ve seen customers taking photos. Nobody working there (including the girls) seemes to be concerned about it. Probably because its not a brothel and there’s no nudity, so nothing to hide.

Guys, the Pen and others based on same concept is just waste of money and time. Even you spend allot of time, means you may still need to back to your hotel alone. Much better to “barfine” a girl from one of those many massager parlor bangkok have to offer , like i do

But just keep in mind not every girl from massager parlor is available for take away. Many of those “supermodel” or Penthouse model they start working from 18 pm - 12am. And they charge from 3200-5500 baht for 1 hour and 30 min inside the establishment. Thats mean from 18 pm - 12 am will allowed them to take 4 customers max. If u want to barfine them, u need to pay for, eks if she is a 4000 baht model, u need to pay 4000 x 4 = 16000 to the parlor to bring she with you. But its a catch with that, the money u pay its only for her companion until 12 am midnight. Yes you need to pay separate to the girl to keep her with you for the whole night. But some girl dont stay with you for a whole night even u offer them a shit load of cash. Yes those girls got attitudes not like their sister from go go bar. But if u find one who are willing to stay over night , u may need to pay her 10-20000 baht beside the fee you paid to the parlor.
Yes is a expensive experience but its worth every single bath u spend. And many girls there is better looking than those dancer from the pen and etc. beside ,they dont have that shit load of make up like the dancer either :p and u can see and talk with them in a great light environment before you make your decision.

Go back to the hotel alone? The Pent closes at 2.am. As a frequently visiting tourist myself, I consider the Pent and other G-Clubs as places to party and eventually chat up some girls.
But since after 2 a.m. I still have the Tunnel, the Spicy, the Spice Club and dozens of other after hour places, I would never be worried to go back to my hotel alone after leaving the Pent or any other place without company at 2.am in the morning.
And I pay a maximum of 2000 Baht for a freelancer and that never left me alone in my hotel bed until noon the next day.

both are fairly accurate statements. but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
the g-club girls are aimed at thais and asians so they will have a different look than the ones at nana & cowboy. most expats here tend to bore of the bar/gogo scene after a while and shift towards freelancer joints, soapies/massage parlors, and on to g-clubs.
it also seems that the longer the expat lives in thailand, they get caught up with the local mindset and their preference towards the women here also change to be on par with the locals.
uni girls, pale skin, models @poseidon, hi-so, hi-so wannabes, etc
overall i tend to agree with james. same product, different packaging. the girls in the photos above are no different than what you will find in nana.

anon - these are pics from one party. Are there girls in the pics who might resemble some girls in nana? Possibly. But to say that all the girls in a g-club or coyote club can also be found in nana is ludicrous. I practically lived in nana for 2 years. There are some hotties in there but the percentage is no way as high as the percentage in a g-club. Not saying all the g-club girls are hot either or don’t play some of the same games. But in general the quality is higher and the girls tend to be better educated, are more presentable and actually have some style when u see them in their normal clothes.
Anyway. Each to his own right? I find it funny how people always need to harp on the member clubs like it is the same girls and same scene but more expensive. I don’t think it is the same. I like all scenes in BKK. One of the reasons I love the place is the variance of quality and let’s say craziness. There are nuggets in each spot but I have taken enough people to a place like Forte who know the go-go scene well who always admit to the fact they have never seen so many hotties in one spot. Not all the girls but some. I don’t shift to any one place - I hit on all cylinders.

i was trying to point out that the preferences of expats tend to change over time to match that of the locals. whether it’s being brainwashed by the local commercials, advertisements, assimilating to thai culture, or whatever. a lot of the foreigners will start to jump onto the thai bandwagon.
going to the g-clubs is one thing. starting to party at predominantly thai clubs is another. then moving on to shun the darker skin issan girls in favor of white skinned girls from chiang mai or bangkok.
i am not harping on member clubs. i think they’re just another form of entertainment here that you can’t get elsewhere in the world. there are good looking girls at either venues (g-clubs or gogos). it’s just that the type of girl working there is targeted to a different group. however i don’t think the girls in these particular photos are any better than what you can find in nana or cowboy.
i am saying that the product (the girls) is the same. just the packaging (gogo environment vs g-club environment) is different. and yes, outside of work the g-club girls are more educated, presentable, and stylish than the farmer’s daughter from buriam who arrived in bangkok six months ago.

Another big difference between g-clubs and the go-go’s is the intelligence of the girls. While they’re not rocket scientists the g-clubs are more in tune with the real world. I can’t stand talking to bar girls, they have absolutely nothing of value to say.

I think James is taking a lot of flak for simply telling the truth.
To me, the girls in these photos don’t look any better than the average gogo girl. That’s simply saying what we see from those photos. For fuck’s sake, one even has a belly tattoo. And they’re wearing more.
People were going on about Pent having lots of white-skinned beauties but from these pics I honestly don’t see it.

I think the party pics are not the way to gauge the girls. Some of these girls are from other clubs and these are not the greatest photos. I was not trying to say every girl at every G club is hotter than girls at other venues. My point was I think in general they are and they are a grade above and a nice change of pace from the go-go scene. that’s all. I don’t think these photos can really attest to that.
it’s cool. I tire of these g club debates. For sure they are not for everyone. For sure if your idea of a good time is to get the best deal or to barfine then g clubs are not your scene. I have found them to be fun, a nice change of pace and have met some great girls who could never be compared to a nana or cowboy girl. Some could.
G clubs are also a great place to entertain business clients and to take people out who might never be caught dead in a go-go. Yes - from time to time I get lucky with g club girls and they don’t seem to be interested in the tx but in having fun. I also know some of them have a ton of sponsors and have some guys on the go for money. Not me.
So anyway. It is what it is.
g clubs suck. don’t go.

smitty: as the #1 farang g-club proponent on the web you ought to just keep 3 or 4 standard replies saved on a notepad page, and simply copy and paste to save time. The ongoing debate never seems to leave one or two points… the cost of a g-club and the quality of the girls.
I just finished my initial 20,000 baht membership at the Pent. I’d say a typical night out there with a freind, neither of us getting laid at the Pent, but often going somewhere else for a little boom boom afterwards, was about 1400 baht — say 900 baht’s worth of my whiskey and a couple of drinks for the girls. 700 baht each for two or three hours of real enjoyment in a nice environment tells me that the money issue is just a matter of reconciling the fact that you are paying an up-front price instead of pay-as-you-go.
The girls? I’d say they’re certainly no better looking than what I’d get at rainbow 4, but girl for girl, better than the average go go.
I think the real difference is in attitude, atmosphere and energy. The girls tend to be able to muster energy and enthusiasm; the service staff actually believe that they are there to serve you; and the surroundings are clean, attractive and comfortable.
It’s not a brothel — you don’t point at #22 and ask her how much for a short time — but it can be a good time.
I haven’t enjoyed other g-clubs as much as I’ve enjoyed Pent, but I wouldn’t bad-mouth them… just explain as clearly as I can what I didn’t like. That’s what info sharing is about. The tip from bkkunderground (different thread) sounded like a good tip on a smaller, less well known club that I might enjoy.
The blog and the Guide can act as good information sources about places you want to get a look at, but in the end nothing substitutes for actually going there and finding out for yourself.
Otherwise, the danger is (as the Heckler said elsewhere)that you end up analyzing the fun out of a lollipop.
To borrow smitty’s refrain: The Pent sucks… don’t go there.
