The FARANG Speaks 2 Much

I bought a motorbike recently in order to ease my transportation needs and for a bit of fun. Having to go back and forth between Soi 4 and Silom almost everyday as well as running around town to pick up things has forced me to be a little more mobile. It is working well, I have not crashed yet and I am enjoying riding around BKK.

It has opened my eyes though to the magnitude of places in Thailand with girls…

I have found myself cruising all the different little roads, sois, expressways and so on that make up this crazy city. When u ride a motorbike u tend to watch the road more intently than when u are in a car or when u are a passenger. For me that means I am seeing more places than I had remembered seeing in the past. What I am talking about is the amount of massage parlors, karaoke  joints, coyote clubs and member clubs. There is just a stunning amount of them. I always knew it but now I am seeing more of  them and trying to pop in and check them out when I can. BKK is amazing.

My friend and I have been enjoying ourselves by popping into the big massage parlors during the late afternoon to just grab a drink and hang out. Chat with the service people, watch the girls come in, watch the Thai men go straight from work to their local massage parlor and just enjoy the availability of it all. Between 3-5pm the girls start coming in and I love watching them cruise into the parlor wearing their street clothes before they change into the appropriate outfit for work. The whole thing is just rather surreal and knowing u could take pretty much any one of them(2 or 3) into a room for a nice bath and whatever is just too cool. Many times though we just hang out and watch the mayhem.

I am making it a mission to explore the massage parlors more and find out just how good they really are. So far - the last trip was too Bangkok Cosy and I was pretty impressed. As with all these places it depends who u take and how it all goes but I am liking the service model. No bullshit mamasons, no one bitching about who u have taken before, decent priced drinks, food available in the rooms and in my mind the total cost typically cheaper than a normal go go bar outing. Meaning once u add up some lady drinks, bar fine, short time/long time, room and so on the average massage parlor is a cheaper run. Plus it is a hell of a lot slier. That is not too say the whole process of going to a go go bar and picking a girl is not fun but lately the pulls have been less than stellar and the other bullshit can be draining. I can see why they Thai guys or other Asian men who have money and or gf’s use the massage parlors. It is easy to get away with it all. Stay tuned.

Popped in on Da Vinci the other night. It is one of the new coyote clubs on Rama 9. I went alone since I was going to meet a friend later and happened to be in the area. Turned out to be a mistake. Seems that since I was alone I was not allowed in. I needed to be with other people I guess. Seems weird. My guess is though that means going alone probably would not have been very fun. Will get a group and check it out again another time. Appears to be another one I have not been to called the Glass House. Need to find that one as well. Much to do…

Things were all closed around town last night. After hours taking a hit. This is the first time post-coup that I have seen almost all the after hours places shut down. Not good really. I wish they would remove the bullshit and just let the whole town go a little later. Seems like the best overall plan for everyone.
