This will NEVER be a comprehensive list of restaurants in Thailand. However we will try to list the places we have actually eaten at and like. Simple as that.

PJs - Steak Joint
Where: Soi 31. Halfway down the soi on the left.
Why: Good steaks and ribs. Great specials. Good wine selection. Wicked martinis. Plus PJ. Know him and love him. My vote for easily the best ribs in town.

Mizu’s Japanese Steak House
Where: Patpong Soi 1. When coming from the Chang Beer sign it will be more than halfway down on your left.
Why: A total throwback to the Patpong of yesteryear. Tacky table clothes. Great set meals for a great price. Old Japan airline posters of hot fully clothed Japanese stewardesses. All this to be had right in the middle of dirty and crazy Patpong. Sakira Steak special is the house speciality.

Zanotti
Where: Soi Saladaeng. Coming from Silom it will be on the left about halfway down.
Why: Not cheap but quality Italian food, amazing wine list and a great setting. No reason to go often but fun if u want some amazing food and looking to splurge a tad.

Madrid
Where: Patpong Soi 1. One of the first places on the left coming from the Chang sign.
Why: Quirky setting, decent grub, decent prices and great pizza. Sit outside and watch the zoo go by.

Big Pizza
Where: Your nearest phone - this is a delivery only shop! 02663 1331 http://www.bigpizza.org
Why: Big pizza - solid value. So after u order in your “takeout” - make sure u call for a pizza as well.

The cheap ass Thai Food joint with a Duck Logo
Where: At the very end of Sukhumvit Soi 4 on the right before u cross into the tobacco factory. Look for the Duck Logo.
Why: The food is amazing. A huge menu and everything is cheap. U can get lunch there with water for under 40 baht and be stuffed. Check it out!

Where: 11/6 Samsan Soi 3 - right next to the Chaophraya River. Take the BTS to Victory Monument and then get a cab.
Why: The best part about this place is getting off the beaten track a bit, feeling like u may be in the wrong area and then seeing the views once u realize u found the restaurant. If u sit on the deck you get a great view of the bridge. The food is awesome, moderately priced and they have live music. Impress your friends by taking them some place different.
