Educated guesses? Rampant rumors. Who knows. The point is I think the Baht has to move. There are some rumors floating around that depreciating the Baht is actually one of the ideas the current government is proposing as a fix to the economy. The only reason they are waiting is to give the rich people some time to move their Baht out before they do it.
Think about it. Helps the export market, encourages tourism and boosts the loan packages for the coming infrastructure projects. It is also one of the most dramatic moves the new government could make that truly moves the needle in short order.

I must say that this is the gloomiest Christmas I have spent in Bkk. My guess is it must be related to the WWFF and the effect it is having on people. That or people just hate Christmas. Not really sure but just seems a lot of people are down this time of year. All I can say is things do feel a little crappy but I am hoping 09 will be better than 08.
No matter how you are feeling though a little partying can’t hurt?

It is Saturday folks. This time of the year is rough on the sleep patterns and the liver. Last night, for those who made it, was the Mango manager’s birthday party at the Mango and it was insane. I don’t know what I was forced to drink - I think it was Pernod - but damn I don’t feel well today. Anyway - an insane night and I am sure there are some serious hangovers today. Thanks to all that made it.
Never fear though - Christmas, Ghost Bday and New Yera’s Eve is coming. Lock up your livers.

It’s December folks. I had a nice lunch today with a friend and he said we should get a large carafe of white wine. Drinking during the day puts me out of commission so of course I balked, but he said lighten up it is December. Time for the holidays. Time to party. I forget with the weather what time of the year it is. It is December. It is time to party. So to help you get ready for it here is the parties we will be having at the Mango. My suggestion is to head to the hospital and get them to snip a piece of your liver out. Freeze it. Re-grow it in January and have them put it back in. Respect.
