The FARANG Speaks 2 Much

I wrote about FreeBird a few weeks ago. A great situation if you can end up in one. However, a related and perhaps better situation has presented itself…Sister of FreeBird. To recap, FreeBird is an ex-working girl being taken care of by some sponsor overseas and while he is away you can hook up for free with the horny little FreeBird. A buddy who read about FreeBird told me about a sponsor who was taking care of a FreeBird and her sister, quite generously too. Many guys/sponsors love to rescue helpless little Thai girls and their families, it’s built in. My buddy happens to be hooking up with the Sister of FreeBird. Similar to Freebird, no cost, but with Sis there is no risk of the jealous boyfriend finding out and taking it out on you. All paid for by Mr. Sponsor. With this situation and many similar “Sponsoring” situations the money sent is never spent as the Sponsor thinks. Sponsor money has been spent on Buffaloes, Pigs, Land, Whiskey for Dad, Mom’s Kidney, Motorbikes for the FreeBirds Thai boyfriend, Happy Pills, and now drinks for her Sister’s new boyfriend. It’s no wonder why services investigating Thai bargirls have become so popular.

Staying open until 2am. This week’s NEP updates are provided by my partner in crime:
Sometimes u have to venture into the go gos that u know probably
are not any good but if u don’t check in on them from time to time u
won’t know if they have gotten any better. Sadly to say they have not
but I went in anyway just to check them out. Do it for the team.
Hollywood Rock:
Pathetic
comes to mind anytime I think about this club. One tell tale sign to me
that a go go is not doing so well is the amount of men and/or
unattractive layboys working the door. Hollywood rock had about 5 guys
on the door who keep pulling, pushing and prodding me to go inside.
Makes sense. They are dying for customers. I went in, I was going in
anyway, but frankly if I was not interested in writing a review I
probably would have been so turned off by the dudes that I would have
done everything I could to avoid the place. Despite my better judgment
I went in. The first thing u are hit by is the crappiest music ever. It
is the old 2 fast wanna be Thai techno music that only the strung out
Thai DJ’s and the equally strung out go go girls want to hear to keep
themselves from going into shock - from sheer boredom. This is one of
the reasons to get some management in the place to keep this type of
shite from happening. I ordered a drink anyway. Bailey’s on the rocks.
It was not Bailey’s though. I am sure it was not Bailey’s though - it
must have been the cheap Thai replacement some bars use in shots -
Kelly’s cream. Great in a shot when u are drunk but terrible straight.
Drink in hand I tried to survey the battlefield but I had a tough time
actually seeing the stage. A cut ladyboy with buck teeth kept dancing
right in my face and asking if she could sit with me. I said no thanks.
She asked if I could buy her a drink, I said no thanks. She asked if I
liked lady’s. I said yes but I did not have the heart to tell her that
I did not like her. Anyway. 5 minutes later buck teeth was replaced by
2 service girls who kept pointing to the stage. This is the lame
service girl go go bar tactic for letting u know that there are girls
on the stage. Great. Believe me if I thought there were any worth
taking I would have called them over already. So then when I said I had
looked and was not interested the girls started going on about me being
gay. I always hate this since if u don’t pull a girl they think u are
gay but there were no girls worth pulling. I proceeded to tell them
that this situation was such but I am sure they just don’t get it. I
paid my 135 baht for the lame drink and escaped. The place sucks. The
music, the service, the drinks, the girls, and the decor. It needs
help. Note to management. Get a clue.
Voo Doo:
From one
lame place to another. I went right out of Hollywood Rock and into
Voodoo. Under any other circumstances I would have went home or to
another place that I know is decent but I was on a mission. Check out
the lame go gos - so I continued. There were no people at the door,
nice change, but despite no one beckoning me to come in I went in
anyway. Another mistake. Voo Doo in the past actually was not too bad
since it had some cute girls. Not this time. Ordered the same drink,
Bailey’s, and once again I got the cheap replacement. Figures. Then
what hit me next took me by surprise. While I was talking to a halfway
cute looking service girl I felt my dick being grabbed by someone else.
Not fondled mind u but grabbed in a non pleasant vice grip like way. I
turned to my right to see an overly made up ladyboy asking me if I
wanted a lady. Did she think this was going to help me out or
something? Anyway I removed her hand and asked her to leave me alone.
She got pissed off and walked away. So then I tried to continue talking
with my service girl but she left. So I turned to the stage for relief.
Not much there. 1 or 2 cute girls but what really held my gaze was the
girl with braces, glasses, curly hair and a g string 2 sizes too small
and a top that barely could cover her big boobs. This girl was huge and
kept making eyes at me. I tried to divert and focus on something else
but she was determined to lock eyes with me in that desperate I haven’t
been bar fined all week look. Song over it appeared it was time to
switch girls. Usually I will wait during the stage change to see if I
was looking at the A team or the B team. It seems I was looking at the
A team so the next group of girls was not much better. I kept nursing
my fake Bailey’s and glanced around to notice that 2 of the ladyboy
service girls were now dancing on the stage. Another note to management
- keep your ugly service girls off of the stage. No one wants to see
them. I then sat there to survey the whole room just to see if there
was someone worth buying a drink for but really there was not. Then
Guns and Roses Sweet Child of Mine came on - and it seems every girl on
the stage had no idea how to move to it so basically the girls stood
there and talked while the 2 ladyboys gyrated away to their own tune.
Seems hopeless. I paid the bill, same price as Hollywood Rock and moved
on.
Red Lips:
Closed for a few days but open again. Nothing has changed really. Light on talent and high on attitude.

Staying open until 2am.
Dollhouse. Was pretty dead during the weekday but talent was okay. There was one girl there that looked Indian and would probably be one of the most beautiful girls if she did live in India. One nipple was way larger than the other which was freaky but poppin rack otherwise. My buddy wanted to visit Dollhouse after pulling a 19yr old stunner there last week. Dollhouse was the first go-go I ever visited here in Bangkok. It has fallen dramatically from when I first visited so I tend to pass it by in favor of Shark, Rawhide, Long Gun, Sheebas or Suzie Wongs, but they do have some top talent every once in a while.
Rawhide. Some stunners but mostly not. Shows are still good. It was pretty dead this past weekday visit but gets busy on the weekends. I have some friends that love this place. They are always greeted warmly and their favorite drinks are always remembered and ordered before they even sit down. GoGo’s are not known for customer service, Rawhide is a definite exception.

After Hours Update
Police shut down clubs a few nights before Constitution Day on Monday but otherwise clubs are going all night again.
- Two Lucky’s. I found out this week that there are now two After Hours clubs named Lucky’s in Bangkok. One, is a small joint, Lucky’s 1, that replaced Suk Soi 11 for a while. A hazy After Hours joint for the dazed late nighters that groove to hip hop until late morning. The other, Lucky’s 2, that is a nightmare of a place. I couldn’t imagine a worse joint. Packed with guys, sweaty, tired hip hop, and the women that were there were not attractive. It was like Boss but ten times worse. I would suggest avoiding both Lucky’s but will get locations for those interested. In the meantime, taxi’s get some cash for taking you to Lucky’s 2 so they all know where it is.
- Suk Soi 11. Open again with no cover. Same drug and thug crowd.
- Tequila Dragon. Still rules, Weekdays better than Weekends.
- Sukhumvit. After The Tunnel was shut down this past week we took our two open bottles, paid a Sukhumvit street vendor a few hundred baht for one of their tables, and just plopped down and got drunk on Sukhumvit. It was about eight of us. Food was available all around since there are street vendors selling everything at that hour. Entertaintment was also all around and very spontaneous. Good fun.

Asian Games
The Asian Games (http://www.doha-2006.com/) are in full swing. Farangs are not too interested, Chelsea vs Arsenal certainly took precedence, but Thai’s love it. The Mango staff are constantly asking me to broadcast the games. Events like Sepaktakraw, Badminton, Table Tennis and Boxing seem to be the favorites. Popular Western sports take a back seat to the more popular local sports. Probably why the Farangs tune out. Still some great competitions and worth watching for any sports fan.

Bed Supper Club
I’ve visited the Bed Supper Club (http://www.bedsupperclub.com/) Disco on Soi 11 a few times but this past week I had the pleasure of dining in their Bed area. It was an amazing experience. The club is divided into two. A disco on one side and a restarant with beds for tables on the other. I had some friends visiting who expensed dinner so it was a great treat. Otherwise, it’s quite an expensive outing in Bangkok terms. Their website has all the details if you want to find out more. I must say though that the food was amazingly creative and quite tasty. The service was top notch and the decor was comfortable and fun. Some snaps of the inside:
