Dr. Drew and this guy Adam used to have this Radio call in program for teens and young adults to ask pretty much everything about love, sex, drugs and the pair would respond with very frank and usually quite funny answers. I loved it and was always amazed with how stupid some of the questions were but enjoyed the answers none the less. Ever read Savage Love? Another column filled with off the wall questions and even better answers. All this has me inspired and using the U of Mango platform I will publicly respond to some of the questions we get at the blog using my keen sense of moral high ground, the lack of being breast feed as a baby while taking into account the rules of the Twilight Zone.

Well - like I said before folks I can hardly keep up with the fan mail(spam) here at the big mango blog but I do my best. I got a nice one today and thought I would share!
Master Sken does Muay Thai!
A few days of rest due to the holidays but we are still here. World Cup madness is over and I for one am happy Italy pulled it off. No comments please - I got Italian in my blood so this is genetic happiness. Bangkok was more hit and miss than I remember for finding nightlife compared to previous holidays but there were a few spots which were covered in the weekly. However I still say the current trend when it comes to politics and police is not very encouraging.
Mango Weekly - 9 July 2006
Published by on July 13th, 2006 in After Hours and The Weekly. 0 CommentsMonday and Tuesday were days off here in Thailand. Monday was Asarnha
Bucha Day which commemorates the first sermon delivered by Lord Buddha
bringing about the ‘Ratanatraya’ of Buddhism. Tuesday was Buddhist Lent
Day which marks the beginning of the ‘lent’ period for Thai Buddhist
monks. Also a customary period in which a Thai becomes ordained and
enters in to monkshood, coinciding with the tropical rainy season. Many
farang though used this time to pursue a different kind of religious
experience. More info. below on what life is like around here before,
during, and after a 2-day holiday like the one we just had.

I really don’t miss America all that much when I see stuff like this.
enjoy…
The corner of Soi 5 and Sukhumvit has always made be a liitle bonkers. There are the Tuk-Tuk drivers offering their 10 baht services for touring all of Thailand in a single day, there are the friends of the Tuk-Tuk drivers offering the Massage Palour happy hour services, and now there is the strange Ladyboy Mamasan who uses Starbucks as her office. Strange stuff indeed!
Pattaya Observations…
Published by on July 6th, 2006 in Reader Submissions and Trip Report. 9 CommentsThese
observations are from a weekend trip during the low season, with the
world cup quarter finals on TV on both nights and intense rain falling
all the time - so I saw Pattaya about as quiet as it gets, but STILL
had a great time which says something about the place. Just to give you
an idea of how slow things were, the huge beer garden at the entrance
to Walking Street had about 100 girls at 11pm on Saturday night - and
all of 10 customers. A ration of 10:1!!
editor - why didn’t u call me? I could have taken home 3 of them to lighten the load. Just kidding - I was busy losing money on the Football games…
